Â In a democracy, the individual is the focal point, not the greater good. Â Capitalism and socialism also focus on the individual. Â The greater good isn't rewarding effort and quality with prosperity, equally or equitably, when a few get more than the rest. Â It's a distortion to assign labels to either, for political purposes.
