Shad Ewart is chair of the Department of Business Management and professor at Anne Arundel Community College. In 2018, he proposed the subject, Â Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Emerging Markets: Marijuana Legalization, a program with the goal of preparing students for entry-level jobs in the medical cannabis industry. Ewart also proposed a multidisciplinary 16-credit program, in which students would graduate with a certificate. Its formal name is the Medical Cannabis Specialist program.
