Taiwan Population Falls Again
Every year, a branch of Taiwan's government called the Ministry of the Interior publishes statistics about Taiwan's population.
內政部每年發布台灣人口的新統計。
The statistics (統計) include the size of Taiwan's population (人口).
This year, the statistics showed Taiwan's population got smaller again.
At the end of 2021, Taiwan's population was 23,375,314.
That's 185,222 people smaller than last year.
And it's the second year in a row the population fell.
