Tool is an alternative/progressive metal band out of Los Angeles, California. They formed in 1990 but wouldn't release their first studio album until 1993's "Undertow". The band consists of most of its original members, including Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, and Danny Carey. Original bassist paul D'Amour was replaced by current bassist Justin Chancellor in 1995.
