Baseball has been a popular sport (ๆต่ก็้ๅ) in Taiwan for many years.
Taiwan's first baseball team (ๆฃ็้) came together in the year 1906, about 116 years ago, while Taiwan was under Japanese control (็ถๆๅฐ็ฃ้ๆฏๆฅๆฌๆฎๆฐๅฐ).
At first, the baseball teams (ๆฃ็้) were mostly just Japanese players.
