Description: Two traditions are tough to give up: Traditional food and religion. Our roots of bitterness often spring up from within the heart when Godly authority challenges our traditions. The problem is so significant concerning our conversion that the Bible warns us to look "diligently lest any man fails of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled" (Hebrews 12:15). So, it ought not to surprise us that conflict over traditions arose between Jesus and the scribes and Pharisees.
