Description: Romanian David Popovici is the fastest human in history over 100 meters freestyle. At the 2022 European Championships in Rome, the 17 year old Popovici blasted a 46.86 in the 100 Freestyle to break Cesar Cielo's long standing world record. Â Â
Popovici also dropped the hammer in the 200 Freestyle, becoming the 3rd fastest ever behind Michael Phelps and Paul Biedermann. He broke the 1:43 barrier in that 200 Free.Â
Pop has been coached by Adrian Rădulescu since he was 9 years old. He has done an amazing job keeping his feet on the ground by leaning into the stoics.  Â
