My name is Andromeda and I am a CELTA qualified English language teacher from London, England. I have taught English for the past 12 years in academies, businesses and online.

Hi, I am Harriet, a native English speaker and qualified teacher.

The lessons are structured around you as an individual and start with finding out what you want to learn or improve and why. We will then agree a plan of fun and challenging activities to help you meet your goals. I teach general conversation skills, including increasing confidence and learning new vocabulary, and Business English. I have helped many students successfully prepare for job interviews or to take on new roles. I can also help you prepare for the language tests. 

The lessons will be lively and varied, using a range of methods, materials and contexts. We will regularly review your progress and goals and I will suggest activities outside of class to help you practice what you have learnt. I am experienced in teaching beginners to advanced level students from teenagers to adults. I have Masters degrees in Creative Writing and Psychology and so am able to use and teach both creative and academic language skills. 

 I live in Hove in southeast England and also spend a lot of time in Lisbon, Portugal. I am trying to learn Portuguese and finding it challenging but fun.  I love meeting new people and finding out about them and what motivates them. Do you need to improve your English? I have tried-and-tested methods to help ESL students become more fluent and confident. I have a degree in education, a TEFL/TESL certificate, and an Online Teaching certificate with lots of experience. I have also authored English textbooks and study guides for children in the primary school.  

My approach is holistic. I use interesting topics, pronunciation drills and language videos to help develop fluency AND accuracy. I am patient and very encouraging as I believe students learn best when they feel relaxed. I've had great results with many students aiming to get to a new English level or maintain a high level. With advanced students, I like to discuss complex topics and deal with work-related issues.  

I have lived in South Africa my whole life but have been fortunate to travel to many countries and experience many different cultures and of course, delicious dishes. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. I also love keeping up to date with current affairs including sport, politics, and arts and culture. Hi, I’m Jocelyn. I’m an Architecture student from Bristol, and I go to Cardiff University. I was previously volunteering as an English teacher at a Bilingual Academy, on my year out living abroad in Seville, and I also completed an Architecture Internship when I was there. For the last two years, I’ve been tutoring students of all ages. These have ranged from pupils preparing for curriculum exams, to learning English as their second language.

I have always made sure to be sympathetic to students' situations, and am flexible with lesson lengths and times. I make every effort to accommodate your needs and targets as a student, to ensure we approach the lesson in a way that works best for you.
