Ocean FM is a multi award winning local radio station that broadcasts to the Northwest of Ireland. The station covers the area of South County Donegal, North County Leitrim and County Sligo.
The current CEO of the station is Niall Delaney and the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) lists their target audience as 'being all age, socio-economic and ethnic groups across the community'. The station currently employs 22 full-time and 30 part-time staff.
There's renewed concern over the pace in which the N17 Knock-Collooney project is moving. Farmers in the area are said to have received letters this week, advising that Council staff are due to carry out surveys on their property. Meanwhile, there's increased speculation that the N17 could be in line for a major funding boost in the coming weeks. Cllr Michael Clarke has been expressing his disappointment over the lack of funding to date and warned that it could be 2040 before a new road in constructed:
