Hello, I am Jan from Germany and I would like to help you learn German and improve your German. I offer lessons for all levels and prepare you for exams or job interviews, for example. I can support you in writing applications or other texts in German. Furthermore, I can also help you to speak German as an everyday language.

I have been tutoring foreign languages such as French and Spanish at a tutoring institute for over a year. I have worked for 6 month in a German language school in Medellín, Colombia. There, I taught a group of 10 persons online at the A2 level. I also gave additional lessons in grammar or vocabulary for the levels A1 to B2.

I work with the immersive learning method. This means that I speak with you mostly in German during class and only in exceptional cases in another language. In this way, new words and phrases can be learned subconsciously while you get used to speaking in the foreign language. No worries, I explain the grammar as easily and understandably as possible.

As teaching materials, I use, for example, song lyrics and texts from media on topics that interest you.

I am about to finish my translation studies of French, Spanish, and German in Innsbruck, Austria. I am very interested in languages, traveling, politics and photography.

Hello my name is Maria, I’m from Germany and currently I live in Bolivia.

I myself was raised multilingual and I live in a foreign country. So, I know how hard and sometimes even frustrating it can be to learn a language. That’s why I would like to help you. If you are a beginner its best to start with some structure. So, vocabulary, grammar and the structure of a sentence in general. If you are already advanced, we can concentrate on pronunciation and conversation. Of course, always in connection with listening, reading and writing.

I already helped some students to prepare for their Goethe and Telc Test in the Levels A1 to C1.

Depending on your level in German, we come up with topics to talk about in order to practice your conversation skills: travel, politics, the cities we live in, art, culture, the news, your job, your dreams and goals - anything :) It doesn't matter if you're fluent or not, I will adjust to your level (B1 and up) so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Language learning should be fun! 

Corrections and suggestions will be provided in the chat box. (this is not a grammar class though so explanations will be kept brief to focus on the conversation and improving fluency.

Given my background as a Communications Director at a global company I'm also happy to include business topics if that's of interest to you. (as well Mock Interview Sessions are possible)

My classes are NOT for beginners. As it is a conversation class, you must be able to hold at least a basic conversation (B1 level or higher)

My name is Beatrice, and I’m excited that you want to learn my native language, German, or Swiss German. 

For the last 10 years, I have taught German to colleagues and friends, and since February 2023, I have been teaching German online. So far, I have helped an A2 and a B1 student pass their TELC German certificates in Summer 2023.  I have an English, French and Spanish language certificate, and I'm following training for a German language teaching degree.  

It is important for me that you enjoy learning German, that I can help you in a well-understood and enjoyable way, and that you reach your goals. It is up to you what you wish to learn — if you need German for your profession, for traveling, or if you want to pass a Goethe or TELC language certificate. 

For many years, I lived in Germany, Switzerland and Spain. There, I worked in tourism as well as customer service in the front and back offices as an agent and team leader. Now I’m teaching online while traveling the world. My first destination is Spain, the Canary Island of Gran Canaria, and my second destination is the Island of Malta.

My hobbies are learning and teaching languages, traveling, reading, writing, yoga, hiking, swimming and dancing.

About me:

I'm from Southern Germany, I studied Social Anthropology in Berlin, travelled some time as digital nomad through South America and live in Argentina right now. I have experience in teaching German on several language platforms for about 2 years now and think its a lot of fun. Last year I got my teachers certificate from the Goethe-Institut. My classes are varied and personal. My goal is to make you gain confidence in speaking while I always try to adapt to your personal interests and learning speed. I am patient and friendly. I am personally interested in journalism, traveling, psychology and music.

Hi, I'm Your new German teacher. Born and raised in Switzerland but now living in Peru. I'm an artist, graphic designer and much more. I speak fluent English, Spanish and good French. I love to teach online because it allows me both to get to know new people from all over the world but also to take good care of my family. Hi! I'm Tabea. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and I grew up in Spain, so I am bilingual in German and Spanish.

I started working as a German tutor while I was still travelling a lot between Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK. I soon found out that I really enjoyed online teaching, since I had the chance to meet people from all over the world. I love learning things about other cultures and languages, as well as improving my teaching skills.

My lessons are quite flexible: I believe there is not only one method for learning a language. Students can be very different and even one person won't feel the same way every day. my name is Florentin, I've been teaching German for the last 9 years, working both with groups at university and 1-on-1.

Maybe the most important aspect for me is the atmosphere in which you can be at ease and speak freely without any fear of making mistakes. Mistakes are not only a natural part of the process, but have to be made and will help your understanding. Our class is a safe space where you can express yourself exactly as you do now and ask all the questions you may have.

In a session we might converse while refining your German language skills, go over your texts together, rehearse an exam and get you ready for a German language certificate test or job interview, take a clarifying look into any specific topic you feel confused about etc. 

All these activities, that can be fun, can also help us see what is needed for you to advance.

We can use my materials and you are also welcome to bring whatever you would like to work with.

More about me:
I initially started teaching German after a one-year journey through South America which I undertook after graduating from university. During these travels I learned Spanish and subsequently got the task of offering tuition to students at university who were struggling with reading academic texts in German. Thereafter I started teaching all German levels to different groups at university and also to students individually and have been doing so for over 9 years now, in-person and online. I've also been leading translation groups and lecturing on other language topics like language philosophy. 
Living and teaching German in other countries for several years gave me deeper insight both into learning languages and into my own mother tongue and during that time I naturally adopted the role of a bridge between cultures and languages. 

I speak English and Spanish fluently and one of these languages could serve as additional support for our work together in case we share it :)
