About My Classes 

Let's talk about different things to build your fluency: your city, your hobbies, your life stories, your studies or your work.    Do you like to cook? We'll talk about food and make sure you have all the vocabulary you need.    Do you need to talk to your co-workers in English?  Tell me all the office gossip -- I'll teach you the expressions to stay "in the know".   For talking to your boss, I show you some more formal expressions.   Did you immigrate to a new country -- the US, the UK, any other?  Let's talk about your immigrant journey.  

Our goal is for you to practice your recall of English words and phrases in real time.  You will also practice expressing your way "around" an idea when you can't easily remember the English word or phrase,  

During the lesson, I put all these corrections and suggestions into a Quizlet deck of digital flashcards that you can study later, so that all that feedback goes into your long-term memory.  We also review these flashcards at the start of lessons.  

To provide you with additional review material, I offer to record our conversation lessons.  

In all these lessons, translation from your native language is used carefully.   Memorizing translations, or using it too much, can stop your ability to start thinking in English.

I have a TEFL certificate from the University of Toronto.  I've taught English online to adults since 2019.  

My great love is history and historical fiction, and I'm an amateur writer.    I love to travel, and in the past year I've spent two months in Buenos Aires and two months in Prague.  I've studied Spanish, and I'm now studying the Russian language.

I’m a qualified teacher with a bachelor’s degree and a CELTA qualification from Cambridge - for teaching English as a foreign language. I have over 30 years of experience teaching English in classrooms and online to ALL levels of learners.

I specialize in improving fluency and confidence in daily conversation at home and at work. My approach is holistic which means we will use relevant topics and speaking tasks to learn new words and practice language skills.

I understand that speaking English fluently and naturally is YOUR goal and that you might need help in a particular area – like grammar accuracy or pronunciation and intonation, or a wider set of active vocabulary. You may struggle with listening or reading or writing. These are all areas I can help you improve – once we have identified what you need.

We’ll use a shared document to record your growing vocabulary and highlight areas you need to fix. You will have a written record of every lesson with notes and tips that I will provide. Lessons will be conversational and fun but also informative. After every lesson you will get detailed and constructive feedback from me, so you know exactly what to work on.

My name is Andromeda and I am a CELTA qualified English language teacher from London, England. I have taught English for the past 13 years in academies, businesses and online.

I specialise in Business English providing you with the language points you need to express yourself effectively in meetings, give fantastic presentations, conduct job interviews as well as other functions such as negotiation, describing charts and forecasting.

I practice a teaching method called oral agility whereby all grammar and vocabulary are taught through speaking exercises. This means modelling words, repeating phrases and conversation exercises.

Classes with me are fun and dynamic and above all, you will see rapid progress with your English because you will be constantly speaking.

NOTE: I believe in giving students the best experience for their money and so if you book at 55-minute class, that class will be a full hour (60 minutes) and not 55 minutes.

Hi there! I'm teacher Dio and I have been a teacher for over a decade. I love what I do - I am passionate about languages. I speak 3 languages (Portuguese, Spanish and of course, English). I've lived in Germany, Ireland, and I just recently moved to Spain. I am telling you this because that means I KNOW how learning a language works.  

Something that is important to know is that you DON'T need to live in an English-speaking country to learn English effectively. Everything really is all about you taking some minutes of your day to study and to surround yourself with the language! I am a certified teacher and my experience over the years shows that you don't need to be brilliant, you just need to be committed in order to learn another language.

I am certified by the Cambridge University (CELTA), and I also hold a TEFL Certificate. I have been teaching English for over 10 years, and I have helped students from all around the world. Currently I offer two main courses:

- CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH - This course focuses on fluency, pronunciation, learning a lot of new vocabulary and preparing presentations about different topics! - There are lots of different topics and you can choose from!

- IELTS & FCE/CAE EXAM PREPARATION - I have a 25-lesson course that will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know to pass the IELTS/CAE exams with flying colors! - In addition to that, I have a lot of extra materials you can use to improve your grammar and writing skills!  

If your English level isn't very high, we can also discuss a course that will be aimed to give you a solid base so that you feel confident to express yourself in English.

I completed my TEFL in Asia and have over 8 years teaching experience with kids and adults from a combination of working in schools and online. My students tell me I have a clear and neutral accent that is easy to understand. They often comment on my relaxed and fun energy in my lessons. 

When working with children I create vibrant and interactive lessons that include phonics, writing & reading. After each class a worksheet or activity can be given. When working with adults I also like to create fun lessons. Learning grammar is stressful and I like to focus more on conversation and simplified explanations. We learn about phrasal verbs, idioms and lots of other things a new learner should need to be able to understand and speak like a native. 

As a teacher I believe it is important to make the students feel comfortable and give them a safe space to learn and not to be afraid to make mistakes. Learning a new language is not easy it takes time and dedication, I understand this and try to build the students confidence as much as possible.
