Hello !
My name is Florence. I come from France and I am an experienced French teacher for foreigners, certified by the Alliance Française de Paris and hold a Master’s degree in FLE (french for foreigners) to teach you my mother tongue. I have experience teaching a wide range of adults from all continents and at all levels.
But also ... before starting to teach French full-time and because of a double technical and commercial training, I worked for a long time in marketing and international trade for companies in various sectors of activities: electrical construction, car accessories, shoes… I also created my own business to distribute my creations of costume jewelry.
I’m originally from the East of France, a small town near the Swiss border, and I've been around a lot! I have lived in different regions of France: from North to South, from East to West, from Paris to Nice, from Lyon to Albi. After living in Valparaiso, Chile, I returned to Europe and then settled in Spain for almost 15 years. Today, I live in Alicante with my family.
I hope to meet you very soon and share very pleasant sessions with you. Please note that I made the choice to teach online only to ADULTS.
See you soon !

Hello!
I am Chantal, a native French speaker. I also speak English fluently, and I have some knowledge of Spanish. I have been a Certified Secondary School Teacher for 20+ years, and I am still just as passionate about teaching!
Together, we will practice the four skills of language learning: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. For having learned two languages myself, I understand how intimidating language classes can sometimes be. That’s why I craft your lessons according to your level, and personal needs.
I provide the material and tools you need, and I am opened to any suggestions in terms of material or topics. I use pictures, videos, songs, articles, and more to make the lessons varied and enriching.
On a more personal note, I love reading, traveling and discovering new cultures, craft booking, collecting vintage postcards… among many other things. My motto is: "Be kind".
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better. I look forward to seeing you in class.

Bonjour!
I’m Yasmin and teaching languages is my passion and my full time job. I’m from Colombia and I have lived in France since 2015. I love France and speaking French. I have studied French for about 18 years and I have been teaching it for 11 years. I have a master degree in FLE (français langue étrangère) from the Université de Nantes in France.
In my experience as a teacher, I’ve met people with multiple learning goals, so I can say I’m a flexible patient teacher and I’m able to adapt a lesson to different ways of learning and needs. I love interacting with students and being part of their learning process.
During my lessons, I prefer to use a communicative approach whether to study vocabulary, pronunciation or active grammar. That is, in other words, I focus on the use of the language and try to create a 100% french speaking environment progressively.
Regarding grammar teaching, I use both an inductive and deductive approach. For instance, you can discover the rules through different activities that require your engagement and interaction (inductive approach) or I can explain to you any aspect of grammar by giving you the rules and practicing with examples and exercises (deductive approach). Sometimes we can do one of these ways or both in the same lesson, taking into account your learning style.
A lesson would therefore be conducted as follows:
1. Introduction: a recall of the previous lesson, introduction of the subject and objective of the lesson with a small warm-up activity (image, video, question, etc).
2. Main activity: work on an Interactive activity in which you will discover, reinforce or acquire knowledge.
3. Conclusión: a recall of vocabulary, grammar and expressions learned during the lesson.
4. Optional homework: a short exercise or listening/reading activity according to the lesson plan agreed.

You may have different reasons to learn French. It can be for job opportunities, living in a French-speaking country, or just for fun. Well, don’t look any further!
I am a native French speaker, and I’ve been teaching French online since 2016. But even before starting to teach, I once was a language student. Like you!
Except, I didn’t have a tutor. I am a self-taught polyglot.
I know the struggles, the difficulties, the problems you’re having or will have during your learning process. Let’s be honest, learning a new language especially French, it’s not always "fastoche" (the equivalent for “easy-peasy”).
However, thanks to my experience in learning and teaching languages I’ve developed a method that will drastically help you learn French better.
To take a lesson with me, you don’t have to know the 17 different tenses and modes in French conjugation. You don’t even have to know what “conjugation” means. I don’t expect my students to be grammar experts as we won’t have grammar-centered lessons. Well, unless you want to torture yourself.
My approach is student-centered, I will tailor each lesson for your level, needs, and goals so you can effectively learn French in a fun way. You can book a FREE trial session now to get to know more about my approach and learning techniques!
À bientôt!

See Reviews From StudentsMost students take 55-minute lessons. However, some tutors also offer the option of 30-minute lessons. If this is available, it will be noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the 'Buy Lessons' button).
In general, we recommend 55-minute lessons for most students. You may want to consider 30-minute lessons only if you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice, or if the lesson is for a child.

Some tutors on LanguaTalk may offer local lessons, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, many tutors do not teach French in Brisbane as they live elsewhere in the world. If you book a lesson with a tutor, you should assume that it will be online unless the tutor specifically states that they offer in-person lessons in Brisbane.
Our research indicates that the average cost for private French lessons in Brisbane is between $25-$35 per hour. Online tutors do not need to travel to you and often live in countries with a lower cost of living, so the hourly cost is generally lower.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
There are several options for learning French in Brisbane, whether you live in the city center or the suburbs. You can use an app or software program to learn basic vocabulary and grammar. You can also join group lessons with French tutors in Brisbane if you prefer a social learning experience. Alternatively, you can take one-on-one lessons with a private tutor, which is more expensive but may be the most effective option if you have a good tutor. Learning online may make private tutors a more affordable choice. Prices vary based on the tutor, but are generally cheaper than in-person lessons in Brisbane.
If you prefer not to learn online with tutor, LanguaTalk may not be the right choice for you. Instead, you can search for tutor, we recommend giving online learning a try as it is often as good as in-person learning and allows you to access better tutors at a lower cost. You can also book a free trial session to see if it is right for you.
