Bonjour!
Iâve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, Iâve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (Iâm also a DELF examiner). Therefore, Iâm used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests.
Languatalk is perfect to learn a language in a very efficient, funny and motivating way. My teaching method is based on oral communication and pronunciation, which doesnât mean that you wonât learn and practice grammar and structures which are necessary to express oneself properly. Through the material provided such as books, newspapers, videos, you will also be improving your reading and listening skills. We can also work your writing if you need or want to.
See you!

I figured out that learning is much more efficient and enjoyable when it is grounded in reality !
This is why I make my lessons student-centered : around your specific needs, goals and centres of interest. I call my method « chameleon-like »
Whether it is for receptive skills, that is listening and reading, or productive skills, that is writing and speaking, we use mostly real-life materials, role-plays and games around situations you may or will find yourself into.
It makes it much more stimulating, efficient and useful to you ! You also learn aspects of French culture as we go along.
For advanced students and conversationalists we work around any topics of your choice to consolidate grammatical points, expand and enrich your vocabulary.
I am also a visual artist. My passions are art, travels and nature. But I am very curious to know what yours are⊠I teach you French and you teach me about things you like !

Bonjour !
My name is Stephanie and I am a native French speaker born and raised in France. I have been teaching French online since 2015 and I have students all over the world. I really take pleasure in doing it. I have lived in Canada for over 10 years and as a self-taught language learner, I easily understand the challenges you have to go through to learn a foreign language. âš
I focus my lessons on speaking and all my lessons are tailored to your level and needs.
For beginners, I use small dialogues to learn the basics of conversation and through them I explain the vocabulary, grammar and conjugation.
If you need to practice your pronunciation and learn vocabulary I would propose a read-aloud lesson. I will choose a text according to your level or you can bring your own material.
For intermediate and advanced level, I can offer a French conversation lesson. During the conversation you will learn every-day expressions, enhance your fluidity and improve your listening and understanding level.
With a background in human resources, I am good at listening and giving feedback. I can provide clarity, confidence and tailored lessons to help you progress in learning French. Patient and creative I like to teach in a fun way which is one of the keys to success.
During my spare time, I love hiking, painting and studying languages.
So let's meet and have fun learning French together!

A few years ago, when I was in bed at night and almost ready to sleep, I used to ask myself this question : "Why would people want to learn French? Are they crazy?"
Well... Are you?
It definitely takes guts for someone to take the obscure path of French learning, especially when you know that almost no francophone can speak French perfectly. And it is this courageous desire detected in French learners that made me want to start teaching this language three years ago. In fact, besides the syntactic complexity of this language (which, by the way, is most likely to be a clichĂ©), French is a very poetic language, as it allows countless accesses to figurative speeches (so if you tend to be a little sarcastic at times, this might be perfect for you). Plus, French is cool and sounds fancy too, so... đ

Bonjour! Whether you are a relatively new French speaker, someone looking to polish their skills or simply want to opportunity to speak French, Iâm excited to meet you.Â
What do I offer? I offer French conversations and classes to improve speaking skills, pronunciation and vocabulary so that students become comfortable with the language and have fluid conversations with real people. You wonât have to say âcomme ci comme çaâ ever again!
I aim to improve your comprehension and practice of the language, as I believe this is the best way to learn. To steer our conversations, I will consider your goals and craft lesson content to meet your needs, levels and objectives; these are aspects we will define together during our trial lesson. Although I do not set homework (unless you would like some of course!), I love to keep in contact with my students via email and often share tailored French content such as videos, podcasts and songs.Â
My teaching style? My teaching style tends to be informal yet informative, as I want my students to have fun while learning more about French life and how natives speak French in their daily lives. If you would prefer a more formal approach, Iâm happy to adapt our sessions to meet your needs. I use the silent method for correcting mistakes, allowing you to speak without worry. At the end of the discussion, I will inform you of the mistakes and how to correct them.Â
A little about me. Iâm a native French speaker from Northern France; however, my friends describe me as a âwoman with a suitcaseâ because Iâm always on the move! I have always had a love for language and culture, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of the French language with my students. I have a masterâs degree in law and currently writing a publication entitled âLes pĂšres dans l'ombre du droitâ, which is set to be published later this year.

Hi, my name is Farid. Teaching French is something I really enjoy, especially when I witness my students progressing in the language and towards their goals. I have been teaching French for almost 4 years now. My students are children, teenagers and adults of all ages and levels. My lessons are usually customized to meet the needs of the students. I use different materials to teach my students; like comprehension texts, dialogues, stories, vocab materials, games..etc.. I have obtained a Level 7 Diploma in Teaching skills and I also hold a DBS check up-to-date.
In 2010, I left my birth country France to move to the United Kingdom. I am currently in Algeria for a few months, as I wanted to (re)discover my parents country. I love travelling and discovering new cultures and languages. I also speak a little Arabic.Â
Book now a trial with me to set the goals you want to achieve. As a French native, I can help you to improve your pronunciation in addition to the grammar. I have been living in the UK for 12 years which made me fully bilingual. With a bit of motivation and a hint of work, your French will upgrade in no time!

See Reviews From StudentsWhether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Grenoble, there are many options for learning French. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with French tutors in Grenoble if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a French tutor in Grenoble, face-to-face.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private French lessons in Grenoble is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think itâll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, youâll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and youâll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching French in Grenoble because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 French lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Hereâs how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
Weâre confident youâll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutorsâ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutorâs full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, youâll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever French tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, youâll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the âBuy Lessonsâ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if theyâre for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
