Learning a language face-to-face with a tutor can be a fantastic experience. But if you're unable to find an affordable private French tutor in Grenoble, you may want to consider learning online. To learn with a French tutor near you in Grenoble, you'll have to either travel to the tutor's home, or pay more to cover their travel time; the average cost of receiving private French lessons in Grenoble is over $20 per hour. Not only does learning online save travel costs, but you gain access to the best tutors from all over the world.
Whilst students sometimes prefer learning in person, the vast majority of students report being pleasantly surprised by the experience of learning with a tutor online. On LanguaTalk, lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can progress quickly. Lessons are taught via video call, allowing you to communicate with your tutor and share learning materials. You'll feel like you're in the same room with your tutor. Book a trial session and see if you agree!
Below you can watch French tutor's intro videos, check their availability and read reviews from their students. When you open a profile, you'll also see which learning needs, ages and levels the tutor is comfortable with.
New to LanguaTalk? When you create an account, you'll be given a token for a free, 30-minute trial session. Use this to get to know your chosen tutor and to decide whether you wish to take lessons with them or to instead try to find a French tutor in Grenoble. (Please note: not all tutors offer a trial session for free - some charge 30% of their standard full lesson price.)

Hello, my name is Marvin, I am French but I live in Galicia, west of Spain. I have been an online teacher for three years now during which I have given more than 1600 lessons. Also, I am currently finishing my master's degree in didactics to teach French. And before that, I graduated from the Alliance Française to be certified as a professional teacher.
During my lessons, I know how to be flexible to adapt to your needs and your personality. If you want conversation classes, we can discuss freely or prepare the session through an article or any other authentic document and I will bring you the necessary corrections over the course of the exchange. If you are looking to improve a particular language point, my goal will be to expose you to it and help you determine how it works. In addition, thanks to my knowledge of the different levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, I can adapt my level of French as well as the topics worked on to each person. My students highlight that I am very patient and also reactive and precise in answering their various questions.
I myself have experience in language learning. I speak English and Spanish at an advanced level, I have some notions of German and Japanese and I am currently learning Galician. I am therefore aware of the different stages in learning a language and I will be able to help you both from my point of view as a teacher and as a student.

Hello ! My name is Charlotte, from France. Learning languages is a passion of mine, along with many others :-) I welcome everyone to come and learn with me; whatever your current level, I’ll be very happy to help you gain more fluency in French. I’m very patient and will provide a cheerful and safe environment where you can talk without any stress or fear of being judged. I try to stick to French as much as possible during the lessons in order to build up your confidence about being able to navigate through your new language.
I believe in helping you master French as it is spoken/written by actual French-speaking people, not textbooks. This means adapting the material and language level to the situation. Indeed, we don’t usually speak in daily life the way a journalist does on the news. And we don’t write a formal report as we would an email to a friend. So knowing your goals and why you are learning French is essential.
A bientôt !

Hello! My name is Laurent. I'm French, live near Paris and I work there as an engineer. I have always liked to learn languages. I can speak English, Portuguese, French Creole and obviously French. I know how difficult it is to learn a new language. For me, the best way to learn a language is to speak it, to be able to communicate with someone. Together we will practice conversation, reading, writing, listening and pronunciation with different kinds of supports. I can prepare you for the DELF A1,A2,B1 or B2 exam. So if you want to start it, let's plan a lesson with me. Please refer to my schedule for availability.

A few years ago, when I was in bed at night and almost ready to sleep, I used to ask myself this question : "Why would people want to learn French? Are they crazy?"
Well... Are you?
It definitely takes guts for someone to take the obscure path of French learning, especially when you know that almost no francophone can speak French perfectly. And it is this courageous desire detected in French learners that made me want to start teaching this language three years ago. In fact, besides the syntactic complexity of this language (which, by the way, is most likely to be a cliché), French is a very poetic language, as it allows countless accesses to figurative speeches (so if you tend to be a little sarcastic at times, this might be perfect for you). Plus, French is cool and sounds fancy too, so... 😗
Whether you plan to
I would be very happy to help you achieve your goals and share my knowledge and advices with you as best I can. Please do book a 30 minute trial session with me to discuss your needs!
About me : My name is Clarysse. I am 22 years old, I've been teaching Latin and French for the past two years and I am very passionate about everything I do. If I had to describe myself in three words as a tutor, I would say funny, methodical and adaptable.

Bonjour !
My name is Marina. I have been a French teacher for five years. I taught in Ireland, England, Spain, and Ecuador, with students of all ages and levels, and in settings both informal and formal. I'm new to LanguaTalk but I've been teaching French online for a year as well.
I offer different forms of teaching, depending on your level and preferred learning methods. For example, a beginner who needs structure might benefit from lessons from a written method that mixes grammar, vocabulary, and listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises, while a more advanced student would prefer us to focus on conversation.
Don't hesitate to book a trial session with me so we can get to know each other!

Me llamo Marina.

Hello my name is teacher Sussu and I am so happy to meet you.
I am an experienced teacher with more than 17 years of experience.
I have a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and FLE (French as a Second Language) and I am Montessori certified.
I believe that learning a new language should be fun and exciting.
Yes, it is not always easy, but it is more like a puzzle you build piece by piece.
I always start where you are and offer new ways to use and expand what you already know.
My priority in class is to make sure my students speak and relax.
The more relaxed, the more confident you will be. The more daring, the more you will see that it is okay to make mistakes and try again.
I will always challenge you to reach higher, to add one step and then another step in your language journey. And then, you will have fun doing so.
Plus, I match my classes to your interests and goals.
So what do you think?

I promise to always be patient and kind.
I hope to see you soon.
Until then...

If you prefer not to learn online with tutor, LanguaTalk may not be the right choice for you. Instead, you can search for tutor, we recommend giving online learning a try as it is often as good as in-person learning and allows you to access better tutors at a lower cost. You can also book a free trial session to see if it is right for you.
Some tutors on LanguaTalk may offer local lessons, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, many tutors do not teach French in Grenoble as they live elsewhere in the world. If you book a lesson with a tutor, you should assume that it will be online unless the tutor specifically states that they offer in-person lessons in Grenoble.
Our research indicates that the average cost for private French lessons in Grenoble is between $25-$35 per hour. Online tutors do not need to travel to you and often live in countries with a lower cost of living, so the hourly cost is generally lower.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
There are several options for learning French in Grenoble, whether you live in the city center or the suburbs. You can use an app or software program to learn basic vocabulary and grammar. You can also join group lessons with French tutors in Grenoble if you prefer a social learning experience. Alternatively, you can take one-on-one lessons with a private tutor, which is more expensive but may be the most effective option if you have a good tutor. Learning online may make private tutors a more affordable choice. Prices vary based on the tutor, but are generally cheaper than in-person lessons in Grenoble.
The advantage of taking lessons online is that you can learn at any time and from any location. When you select a tutor, check their calendar to ensure that they have available slots that fit your schedule. Some tutors may have limited availability due to high demand from other students.
If you're new to LanguaTalk, we'll provide you with a credit for a free trial lesson. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be reduced to 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at a minimal cost.
Trial lessons are 30 minutes long. They allow you to evaluate whether the tutor is a good fit for you and experience learning online. The tutor will assess your level and try to understand your needs and interests so they can customize any lessons you decide to take. You will be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but you can also speak in English if needed.
If, after your trial lesson, you don't feel that the tutor is right for you, you can schedule a trial lesson with another tutor for 30 percent of their full lesson price.
On LanguaTalk, you can find highly qualified tutors who offer personalized 1-on-1 French lessons based on your goals and learning style. Here's how it works:

You can pay for each lesson individually or purchase multiple lessons at a discounted rate (view a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).

Lessons are conducted one-on-one, allowing you to receive personalized attention from your tutor. lessons are conducted via video call, and you can use any device with a stable internet connection and a webcam to join the lesson.
Your tutor will create a customized lesson plan based on your goals, learning style, and current level. During the lesson, you will have the opportunity to speak, listen, and interact with your tutor in real-time. Your tutor may also provide you with additional materials, such as audio recordings or written exercises, to help you practice and consolidate your learning.
Most students take 55-minute lessons. However, some tutors also offer the option of 30-minute lessons. If this is available, it will be noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the 'Buy Lessons' button).
In general, we recommend 55-minute lessons for most students. You may want to consider 30-minute lessons only if you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice, or if the lesson is for a child.
