I am Ilaria, and I am a native Italian teacher. I have been teaching Italian for several years now, and I love my job.

I am a full-time Italian teacher, and I am building my entire career around the Italian language. I am also a blogger and a podcaster.

In the past, I have attended German and Spanish courses. But I am still a language student, in fact, I keep taking English classes, so I know how difficult and frustrating can be to learn a foreign language for my students.

My teaching method is focused on the students. During the first lesson, I ask them why they want to learn Italian and the goals they want to achieve. I am a supportive person, and I will constantly be there to guide you during the challenge of learning a foreign language!

With beginners, we will start learning grammar, but I will try to let them speak from the first lesson, helping them to create their first sentences.

Once the level advances, the part of the conversation will become gradually longer, but obviously, we will keep adding grammar information.

With students with a higher level, I will be more flexible and, the work to do will be decided together. Some of them prefer to have an informal lesson, based on conversation. Others prefer to have a more structured class, with readings and exercises.

I have a Master's Degree in Communication Studies and a Diploma in Management. Moreover, I was awarded a CELTA qualification (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) by the University of Cambridge.

Hello! I am a professional Italian teacher with many years of experience. I am Italian but I have been living for several years in Germany where I teach Italian in schools and at the University.

I specialised at the University of Rome and at the University for Foreigners of Perugia in teaching Italian to foreigners and, at the moment, at the University of Portsmouth in England I am carrying out a PhD on the best strategies for learning Italian language vocabulary.

I am a professional but also friendly and patient teacher. The most important thing for me is that you never stop learning with a smile!  

In my lessons there is always plenty of time for conversation, you can always practise to become more fluent. And if you are a beginner, don't panic! We will work together, step by step from the essentials!

*Beginners*: We will start together from the essentials. I will prepare presentations, pdfs, songs and much more for you. With each class you will learn new vocabulary and grammar tips that you will be able to put into practice immediately by speaking Italian from the very first lesson!  

*Intermediate and advanced*: In my classes you will be able to talk about topics that interest you, and you will improve your vocabulary, your grammar, and your fluency.  

I not only specialize in teaching the language but because I hold a Masters Degree in Cultural Heritage and Archeology, I have comprehensive knowledge of my country’s deep history, culture, and art to share with you!

Hi, I'm Cristina from Italy!

I studied Foreign languages and Linguistics and I'm here to help you learn and discover the beauties of the Italian language. My lessons are mainly focused on grammar, vocabulary, conversation and pronunciation. My approach to teaching depends on the level and goals of the student. Not only will we learn grammar and new words but we will also pay attention to the correct pronunciation (I have a standard pronunciation so you can easily learn the standard variety of Italian)  : the student will be given some exercises to practise their pronunciation (tongue twisters are great to practise the difficult sounds of a foreign language!). Moreover, we will develop the four language skills ( speaking, writing, listening and reading) through constant and gradual training. 

With more advanced students, it can be great to have conversational lessons. Since I'm a very curious person (I'm very passionate about Science, Art and sport) we may talk about any topic you are interested in.

I am a teacher in Lettere Moderne in a high school with a background in linguistics. I'm certified to teach Italian language to foreigners and I've been teaching for 7 years non-stop, experimenting with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. My name is Elena, I'm a native and CLTA qualified Italian teacher with MD in Italian Linguistics and 10 years of teaching experience in Copenhagen, London and Barcelona. I'm ready to bet a Spritz no teacher has ever asked you that!  Or anybody else ever, for all that matters. But they should!  Let me explain: everybody knows how to order in a restaurant or ask for directions but it’s when you step out of the safe path that your brain really starts to learn faster.

For one thing, you won't feel the pressure to look smart in front of your teacher. C'mon, they just asked you to speak Italian with a platypus, are you really worried about bad impressions? For another, you’ll have to work with your own resources to deal with a new situation. Which comes very handy when you speak with natives. (Natives always have this bad habit of saying a lot more things than what's in your handbook, and they never seem to ask you the questions you know how to answer...) So, why don't you give it a try? ;)

If you're just starting and you don't know many Italian words, don't worry! In the beginning, we can speak English. Later, we are going to speak only in Italian!

Hi everyone! I’m Anna, an online Italian teacher specialised in Italian language and culture for foreign students. With over 15 years of experience teaching learners of all levels, I help students develop an authentic, confident and natural Italian.

I am bilingual in Italian and English, with a five-year degree in English Language and Literature and an ITALS Master’s degree (completed with top marks). A bit about me

When I’m not teaching, I love travelling. I lived in London and later in Liverpool while writing my dissertation. I also speak Spanish, so I know very well what it means to learn a new language from scratch.
