My name is Valeria and I am a professional Italian Teacher. I hold a CEDILS certificate to teach Italian to foreigners, a Ph.D in Asian Studies and I have 10 years of teaching experience at Chinese Universities as well as one to one tutoring in the UK. I have specialised in teaching to Chinese speakers who wish to study in Italy, to European professionals who work for Italian companies, and to retirees passionate about culture and travels. 

I adapt my lesson according to your interests and needs. In every lesson you will find something interesting and stimulating. I teach general, academic and business Italian. I can also help you prepare for language exams. My communicative approach allows the students to speak without inhibitions. I use authentic materials which reflect different aspects of everyday life. I usually start with a written text, a video, or an audio recording, then I focus on vocabulary and grammatical analysis. Finally, with a role play you will be asked to “act” in a simulated situation according to the topic just studied. You will receive feedback and support after each lesson.

My name is Giusy, I'm a native italian speaker. I've been learning multiple languages for many years now and it is something I am extremely passionate about, which means that I know how difficult it is to learn a language, especially if you are nervous or worried about making mistakes. Hi everyone! I’m Anna, an online Italian teacher specialised in Italian language and culture for foreign students. With over 15 years of experience teaching learners of all levels, I help students develop an authentic, confident and natural Italian.

I am bilingual in Italian and English, with a five-year degree in English Language and Literature and an ITALS Master’s degree (completed with top marks). My background also includes a specialisation in neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics, which shapes my teaching method and allows me to create personalised, effective learning paths based on how the brain acquires languages.

My name is Elena, I'm a native and CLTA qualified Italian teacher with MD in Italian Linguistics and 10 years of teaching experience in Copenhagen, London and Barcelona. Studying and teaching languages has always been a great passion for me, and I do my best to bring this enthusiasm into my work! There's more: how would you ask a platypus if they feel more like a ducky ferret or a furry duck? In Italian. I'm ready to bet a Spritz no teacher has ever asked you that!  Or anybody else ever, for all that matters. But they should!  Let me explain: everybody knows how to order in a restaurant or ask for directions but it’s when you step out of the safe path that your brain really starts to learn faster.

For one thing, you won't feel the pressure to look smart in front of your teacher. C'mon, they just asked you to speak Italian with a platypus, are you really worried about bad impressions? For another, you’ll have to work with your own resources to deal with a new situation. Which comes very handy when you speak with natives. (Natives always have this bad habit of saying a lot more things than what's in your handbook, and they never seem to ask you the questions you know how to answer...) So, why don't you give it a try? ;)

Hi! thanks for visiting my page! I am a professional English and Italian language teacher with over 7 years' experience teaching students from all around the world. I am very creative and curious, always excited about meeting new students and engage in interesting conversations. I always try to design a lesson around the learner's needs and focus on the areas to improve. I am very passionate about languages but I also love writing fiction, painting and playing the guitar. I am interested in various subjects from art to politics, from cinema to sport and culture.

I believe teaching should be fun, stimulating and inspiring. I plan my lessons in order to offer a variety of creative and exciting activities, a perfect balance of conversation, writing and listening. I also believe that the student should be made comfortable in order to express themselves and gain confidence with their spoken fluency.

My lessons are focused on vocabulary and spoken fluency but we'll practise the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I apply to the lessons a variety of methods and activities such as role plays, projects, games. At the end of the lesson I always provide feedback and clarification on emerging vocabulary or new expressions.

Ciao! I like to think that every student of mine was a challenge in a peculiar way. I have worked with European students abroad, retired professionals, University students in Asia, company employees and teenagers: every time I have found the best way to have fun both, taking advantage of any opportunity to understand  my language and my culture! 

I'm currently working as an online tutor with beginners, mainly from English speaking countries, who are generally not familiar with the language learning process. I usually help them to get some confidence in facing basic conversations as tourists in the country. I like to engage a fun conversation about different topics like my country's culture, Italian modern literature, art and cinema history due to my solid background in these disciplines. I am also a very curious person, keen to explore new topics, so much that I had eventually supported my students'interests through language practice (for example: reading Italian sport magazines together or watching videos about Italian cuisine).

I really believe that having fun teaching is the first cause for having fun learning.
