I am a native Italian teacher specialized in tutoring Italian for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. I have been working since 2016 for several agencies and for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London teaching Italian from scratch. I am also a CILS tutor and exam administrator.

I hold a Bachelor in Linguistics and Italian as a second language and also worked for the publishing of an Italian Collocations Dictionary for Italian learners.

My objective is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. I also like to keep lessons engaging, fun and fresh. CIAO a tutti! Hi everyone! I'm Giuliana, a professional Italian teacher with 16 years of experience (10 online).

I was born in sunny southern Italy, and I hold a Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures and the DITALS II certification (an advanced qualification for teaching Italian to foreigners).

I have taught in Turkey, Peru, and Togo, to children, university students, migrants, and adults of all ages—and I've personally experienced what it's like to start life in a new country without knowing the language. That's why I truly understand what my students go through, not just linguistically but on a human level.

I place great importance on building a solid grammatical foundation, but culture, traditions, and the Italian way of life matter just as much to me—and above all, practical conversation. My goal is to help you COMMUNICATE with confidence in real-life situations you'll encounter in Italy: at the market, at the bank, with neighbors, or over coffee with new friends. I especially love working with students who want to reconnect with their Italian roots, prepare for the B1 citizenship exam, or build a deeper connection with Italy — whether they're planning to relocate or buy a home there.

My name is Elena, I'm a native and CLTA qualified Italian teacher with MD in Italian Linguistics and 10 years of teaching experience in Copenhagen, London and Barcelona. Studying and teaching languages has always been a great passion for me, and I do my best to bring this enthusiasm into my work! But they should!  Let me explain: everybody knows how to order in a restaurant or ask for directions but it’s when you step out of the safe path that your brain really starts to learn faster.

For one thing, you won't feel the pressure to look smart in front of your teacher. C'mon, they just asked you to speak Italian with a platypus, are you really worried about bad impressions? For another, you’ll have to work with your own resources to deal with a new situation. Which comes very handy when you speak with natives. (Natives always have this bad habit of saying a lot more things than what's in your handbook, and they never seem to ask you the questions you know how to answer...) Pleased to meet you! I am Grazia and I have been teaching Italian to foreigners for more than ten years! I have a great passion for this job and I am always very happy to meet new students and get in touch with their world! My method is based first of all on listening and understanding the needs and attitudes of each student, and in this way I try to offer lessons that are... 'tailor-made'! I believe that grammar is important, but I also always give a lot of space to conversation, communication and fun. The tools I use for my lessons vary greatly: from grammar review sheets to poems, songs, videos... anything that I find stimulating can become a very good working tool! Since obtaining the DITALS certificate to teach Italian to foreigners, I have taught both in Italy and abroad, to students of all ages and in both individual and group lessons.  One aspect of this work that I find very important (and really valuable!) is building a relationship with the students. 

After all, teaching allows me to bring together my two greatest passions: the Italian language and... people, from all over the world.

Ciao! My name is Mauro, I am native Italian from Calabria! I studied International Relations at Bologna University, then I moved to Padua, for a PhD in History of Political Thought. I currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love running, Mozart, tango (I'm trying to improve my dancing abilities...), cook, and culture.
