It’s Michela from Italy.  If you want to learn Italian from scratch or just improve your general competence, widen your vocabulary in a specific field or focus on exam preparation (e.g. CILS) in a friendly and engaging environment, I’ll be more than happy to guide you in becoming a more confident, proficient and autonomous learner and speaker.

Being a language learner myself I find it easy to put myself in my students’ shoes in order to constantly tailor my teaching to their needs.

• I hold a certificate in the teaching of Italian as a Second Language to adults (DITALS, Level I, University for Foreigners, Siena, Italy);
• I did research on Italian as a second language during my PhD in Linguistics (University of Pavia, Italy);
• I was a pre-service teacher trainer for future teachers of Italian;
• I have worked with exchange students and adults in Italy.

I've been working as a licensed teacher of English as a foreign language in Italian Secondary Education for several years (permanent position).

TEACHING APPROACH

I use a variety of teaching methods, materials, activities and tools. In particular, I try to take advantage of audio and video materials and love experimenting with new approaches and technologies. I also strongly believe that teaching vocabulary and grammar in context based on topics relevant to my students plays a crucial role in fostering language development. Finally, my students’ questions and feedback are always of great value to me.

Hello everyone! I'm Andrea. I'm a professional translator, a certified teacher and a qualified mental coach. 
I have been teaching for 16 years. I have experience with students of all ages. I firmly believe that teaching is my calling. 
As a translator and mental coach, I travel across Europe with the Italian University Sports Federation. I LOVE IT!

My teaching approach relies on practice and immersion in the language, through conversation and consumption of multiple medias (music, movies, books). 

My main focus is making my students able to communicate and interact as soon as possible, so that they can enjoy their language-learning journey instead of just studying and waiting for a long time before they can actually use what they learned.

Ciao! My name is Mauro, I am native Italian from Calabria! I studied International Relations at Bologna University, then I moved to Padua, for a PhD in History of Political Thought. I currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love running, Mozart, tango (I'm trying to improve my dancing abilities...), cook, and culture.

I am a very passionate teacher, I love to share my language and my knowledge about Italy, and its culture, films, music, literature, arts, food!!! I firmly believe that learning is based on trust between teacher and student, and the first objective of my classes is to individuate student's objectives and preferences.

My teaching methodology is integrated: I think that it is important to work on all of linguistic abilities: oral and writing comprehension and production. My name is Ilaria and I studied International Communication at "University for Foreigners of Perugia", but don't worry (in Italian we would say "tranquillo"), I'm 100% italian!

I have a certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language (CEDILS) issued by the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

My first experience in teaching Italian as a second language was in 2009 in the south of France.

Once back in Italy I began teaching Italian to foreign students at school...it was 2010.

I've been doing it since then and my students come from all over the world. Today I know for sure that is not enough to be a "native" to teach someone a language.

Grammar is often considered boring but we can't avoid learning it. Only when you know the role and function of every single word in a sentence you'll have a solid understanding that will improve your confidence in speaking a foreign language.  

It's like to lay the foundations for building a house!

Hi! thanks for visiting my page! I am a professional English and Italian language teacher with over 7 years' experience teaching students from all around the world. I am very creative and curious, always excited about meeting new students and engage in interesting conversations. I always try to design a lesson around the learner's needs and focus on the areas to improve. I am very passionate about languages but I also love writing fiction, painting and playing the guitar. I am interested in various subjects from art to politics, from cinema to sport and culture.

I believe teaching should be fun, stimulating and inspiring. I plan my lessons in order to offer a variety of creative and exciting activities, a perfect balance of conversation, writing and listening. I also believe that the student should be made comfortable in order to express themselves and gain confidence with their spoken fluency.

My lessons are focused on vocabulary and spoken fluency but we'll practise the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I apply to the lessons a variety of methods and activities such as role plays, projects, games. At the end of the lesson I always provide feedback and clarification on emerging vocabulary or new expressions.

I have worked with European students abroad, retired professionals, University students in Asia, company employees and teenagers: every time I have found the best way to have fun both, taking advantage of any opportunity to understand  my language and my culture! 

I'm currently working as an online tutor with beginners, mainly from English speaking countries, who are generally not familiar with the language learning process. I usually help them to get some confidence in facing basic conversations as tourists in the country. I like to engage a fun conversation about different topics like my country's culture, Italian modern literature, art and cinema history due to my solid background in these disciplines. I am also a very curious person, keen to explore new topics, so much that I had eventually supported my students'interests through language practice (for example: reading Italian sport magazines together or watching videos about Italian cuisine).

I really believe that having fun teaching is the first cause for having fun learning.
