Hello! I'm Mafe, and I'm here to make your Spanish learning journey exciting and effective. With 8 years of experience teaching Spanish to foreigners, I assure you a unique learning experience. I have a degree in Hispanic philology from university, and I'm currently pursuing a master's in cultural studies of Latin America. All of this makes me the ideal person to teach you Spanish in a proper way and to introduce you to Latin American culture.

I offer conversation practice and structured courses, from absolute beginner to C1, grammar drills and homework if you wish. Wide experience with adults and senior students. I will provide you with notes and examples from our lessons, during the lesson in Google Docs, or after the lesson, via e-mail. You don't need to decide in advance if you prefer Latin American Spanish or European Spanish, I can teach you the main differences and help you decide. 

In our first lesson or trial we will figure out how your learning plan will be, depending on your individual needs, learning style and goals. If it's your first online lesson, there's no need to stress, I'm very understanding and patient. 

Oh and to tell you a little about me...I love animals, languages, reading and traveling.

The theory behind my teaching method is simple yet efficient:

• We set your goals and topics of interest: do you want to get more confident with your Spanish speaking family, friends or coworkers? Or you want to expand your business to potential clients through social media? Is Spanish literature and poetry something you’d like to make yours? You tell me, I find our way to it.
• We learn/ review the very basics of Spanish through active use. Get ready for some intense debates/ essay writing!
• We track your progress following the CEFRL guideline.
• We use news, articles, lyrics and other multimedia materials chosen specifically for you.

A bit about me: I love learning. From languages (Portuguese, French and Japanese) to music, philosophy... At one point I found that teaching my mother tongue, which I adore, makes me renew my perception of it, so it feels like a never ending adventure. That's why it has been my main focus these past five years, spending months building a method based on active use and understanding of a language that is very much alive all over the world. It is a great pleasure for me being able to say that I gained some good friends thanks to my profession, so what else can I ask for!

Hello! I am Ivett from Mexico, a tutor passionate about languages and I have had the privilege of working as a Spanish tutor for all levels and ages, however these last two years I have focused my skills mainly on teaching children. My goal as a Spanish tutor is to provide my students necessary tools and confidence to communicate in Spanish effectively and fluently.

Experience: I have four years experience as a Spanish tutor but as a language tutor I have over 6 years of experience as an English tutor for absolute beginners teaching children, teenagers and adults. My name is Cristina and I’m a Spanish / Catalan native speaker from Valencia (Spain).

- I hold a BA degree in Translation Studies from Valencia University and a MA degree in Legal Translation (University of Alicante). I have also a postgraduate certificate in Modern Foreign Languages Teaching from Canterbury Christ Church University. Apart from my university degrees, I hold certificates in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and in professional proofreading from European University of Madrid. And if that is not enough for you I am also an examiner for the Cervantes Institute, and that means that I  know perfectly how DELE exam works ;).

- I have 4 years of experience in teaching Spanish as a second language in a secondary school and a private company in Italy and another year of teaching experience in two Secondary schools in England. I also have 3 years of experience teaching adults in online platforms (+1500 hours taught).

Graduated in Hispanic Philology and Masters in Applied French, I have always kept up with my teaching training and have also completed a CELTA course for English teachers. This further training has provided me with the familiarity to different teaching methodologies, which have proven to be extremely useful in my classes.

I have worked as a Spanish teacher for 13 years, both in-person and online. My job duties typically include designing and delivering Spanish courses for all levels. Also a 13 year-experienced translator. I have recently worked on a project which involved developping Spanish lessons and units to be delivered online, so I am used to creating content of my own.

My teaching method is mostly conversational and based on a combination of skills. I use plenty of audiovisuals and various activities to get students to speak. My constant interest in professional training has allowed me to become familiar with techniques and tools that are essential in today´s second language learning.

My lessons are all similarly structured: a grammar point, a few exercises to get started, then controlled practice, and finally an audio or a video related to the topic.

Hello, I'm Ruth, and I am from Peru. I live in Cusco, the city of the Incas, where Machu Picchu is located. I'd love to be your future Spanish tutor!  Likewise, I've been teaching for a while, working with a diverse range of students. This experience has helped me understand how individuals learn at different stages of life. Also, my knowledge of English allows me to connect with students and help them grasp the nuances of the Spanish language. It's important to note that our classes are mostly conversational because speaking is where you'll truly master Spanish. However, I'll adjust the classes to your needs. After you book a trial lesson with me, I'll send you a comprehensive test that will allow me to determine your Spanish level. I like to focus on students' pronunciation and effective use of language.

My lessons are "Conversational Spanish"; if you are on a basic level, like A2+ / B1, we can have a more structured lesson.  

If you don't understand a specific grammar topic, we can discuss it and use some examples -related to your life-.  

We can also use pictures, paintings (my favorite way of practicing a language), videos, or anything that will help you to talk in Spanish.
