As a person who has always been interested in other countries and cultures, I have embarked on learning new languages myself in the last few years. Most recently Korean! I’m a qualified teacher with a bachelor’s degree and a CELTA qualification from Cambridge - for teaching English as a foreign language. I have over 30 years of experience teaching English in classrooms and online to ALL levels of learners.

I specialize in improving fluency and confidence in daily conversation at home and at work. My approach is holistic which means we will use relevant topics and speaking tasks to learn new words and practice language skills.

I'm Iren, and I offer speaking lessons for adults.  My conversation lessons focus on one topic per session, like health, work, meals, money, transportation, and other topics you are interested in. Before the lesson, I will give you an article (from english-online.net or another online source) about the topic for you to study to prepare. In the conversation lesson, we will talk about the topic. You will expand your English vocabulary with my suggestions.  You will review spoken grammar when you use it in the conversation and receive my constant feedback.  I will explain the grammar point if needed.  You will leave the lesson with many notes and exercises for further practice. 

I have five years of experience teaching adults English as a Second Language using this method.  I know it builds your vocabulary,  grammar, pronunciation skills, and confidence.   I also have a TEFL certificate from the University of Toronto.

Hi, I’m Liz. I’m a native English speaker and I have spent most of my life living and working in London, England.

I have a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language, and I also have a BA in English Literature from a central London university.

My teaching experience has been predominately online in 1-2-1 lessons, but I also have experience teaching in person to groups of children at language camp in the UK.
