I've been teaching English for over five years. I have a Bachelor's degree in TESOL with a minor in Spanish. My lessons are flexible to the needs and preferences of my students, always with a focus on speaking. I am a relaxed, encouraging, and patient teacher.

I was born and raised in the United States, then moved to Central America for a few years as an adult. Now I am back in the United States. The lessons are structured around you as an individual and start with finding out what you want to learn or improve and why. We will then agree a plan of fun and challenging activities to help you meet your goals. I teach general conversation skills, including increasing confidence and learning new vocabulary, and Business English. I have helped many students successfully prepare for job interviews or to take on new roles. I can also help you prepare for the language tests. 

The lessons will be lively and varied, using a range of methods, materials and contexts. We will regularly review your progress and goals and I will suggest activities outside of class to help you practice what you have learnt. I am experienced in teaching beginners to advanced level students from teenagers to adults. I have Masters degrees in Creative Writing and Psychology and so am able to use and teach both creative and academic language skills. 

 I live in Hove in southeast England and also spend a lot of time in Lisbon, Portugal. I am trying to learn Portuguese and finding it challenging but fun.  I love meeting new people and finding out about them and what motivates them. Do you need to improve your English? I have tried-and-tested methods to help ESL students become more fluent and confident. I have a degree in education, a TEFL/TESL certificate, and an Online Teaching certificate with lots of experience. I have also authored English textbooks and study guides for children in the primary school.  

My approach is holistic. I use interesting topics, pronunciation drills and language videos to help develop fluency AND accuracy. Hi, my name is Christian and I am a third year student at university in England. I have a love for languages and am currently studying Spanish. This year I am spending a year in Valencia. I have over two years experience tutoring both Spanish and English online helping beginners through to students getting ready for exams.
