My name is Gaelle, I'm French and I've been teaching French as a foreign language for 7 years. I trained with Alliance Française and worked for them in Malaysia.

You might also know me through my podcast "LanguaTalk slow French". I've started it 3 years ago and I'm now offering over 90 episodes about French culture and grammar.

I work with textbooks for students in A1, A2, B1  and B2 levels (basic and intermediate levels). I also work with C1 students (advanced) but with newspapers and online content. I can also help you with your French certifications like DELF.

I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. A few years ago, when I was in bed at night and almost ready to sleep, I used to ask myself this question : "Why would people want to learn French? Are they crazy?"

Well... Are you? 

It definitely takes guts for someone to take the obscure path of French learning, especially when you know that almost no francophone can speak French perfectly. And it is this courageous desire detected in French learners that made me want to start teaching this language three years ago. In fact, besides the syntactic complexity of this language (which, by the way, is most likely to be a cliché), French is a very poetic language, as it allows countless accesses to figurative speeches (so if you tend to be a little sarcastic at times, this might be perfect for you). Plus, French is cool and sounds fancy too, so... 😗

My name is Oana Maria and I am a professional language teacher and a Linguist graduated at the University of Bordeaux , France. I am currently living in North Norway. I came here to take a second master on Sami language and culture, and recently I have been working in an alternative school with kids. 

I am an eternal language learner and a nomad at heart. I love getting to know new places, living in different countries and cultures and never stop learning.
