I am a qualified native German teacher (PGCE) from a town near Dortmund and I have been teaching German as a foreign language for over 30 years in a Grammar school setting in Northern Ireland. I have experience in the following: - 

• Teaching German as a private tutor face to face and online. 
• Teaching students to GCSE and A level examinations in my school and privately.
• Prepared students of all ages for the Goethe Institute level A2 and B1 examination.
• Teaching the Junior and Leaving Higher Certificate in German. 
• Teaching children who were born or had lived in Germany for some time but then moved back to the UK and successfully helped them retain their German and also complete the GCSE and A2 examinations for the Goethe Institute. 
• Teaching adults who have relocated to Germany and needed to pass the B1 examination to apply for Citizenship in Germany.

My teaching is as varied as my students are. I often use the online version of the textbook recommended  by the Goethe Institute "Berliner Platz" A1, A2 and B1 level. I adapt my learning style to suit individual needs should you prefer conversational German or a more grammar focused lesson. I make the lesson enjoyable by including up to date teaching materials and refer to websites that will give the learner an insight into German culture as well, whenever possible, play quizzes such as Kahoot.

I was born and raised in Germany so I'm a native German speaker. Currently I'm living in France and work here as a teacher for German as a second and foreign language. 

For more than seven years I have been teaching German now in Germany and in France and with a lot of passion and joy for all levels and ages. It's a big pleasure for me to get to know so many cultures and people by teaching. Because of my stay in France, I speak French and of course also English.

The lessons with me are a complete immersion in the world of the fascinating German language. I only use authentic materials (books from Klett, Hueber, Cornelsen; blogs, music, videos by Germans), lots of interactive exercises, games. Lessons are based on the student's preferences, so I select the material individually, depending on the student's wishes and hobbies. I organize the lessons so that 80% of the lessons are spoken by the student. We have conversations, discuss current problems in the life of Germans and other peoples. My name is Anna, I'm from Switzerland. I currently live in Ecuador.

After completing my Bachelors degree for teaching in 2015, I started teaching German, but also English and French.

I often talk to advanced students about interests and factual topics. Hi, my name is Sina and I am a native German speaker who is passionate about talking and teaching this language with people from different cultures all over the world! I am currently based in Kampala, Uganda, working in the creative arts sector as projects manager.

My experiences teaching German language go back to 2015, during my master studies, when I gave intense lessons to refugees helping them to reach basic vocabulary and grammar for everyday conversations using self-compiled material.

When moving to Uganda in 2019, I gave regular tutoring classes to German students' level A1, A2 and B1 at Goethe-Zentrum Kampala for six months.  I got insights into the language structures of the Goethe Insitut-system including exam preparation collecting professional teaching material.

To get students engaged with German language I usually work with interactive methods. We start with a comprehensive introduction to the respective topic through work sheets, powerpoint or visuals. Then we apply what has been learned through playful games, conversation exercises or gap texts. My methodology is: First process, then apply! Teaching one-to-one means I am all there for you, you decide which topic you want to work on, which challenges you want to master and how often we should repeat a lesson.

I do not only teach languages to earn money, it is my passion to teach, to have conversations with people from various countries, to allow someone to learn a new language, to open doors in this global world.

I am a German native, single mom of 2, with more than 10 years of teaching experience and about 20 years of tutoring experience. I have been teaching online for more than 6 years, but also taught in colleges, language schools and many private settings. 

I have lived in the US for 7 years and came back to Germany in 2017. In 2020 I decided to become a full-time online teacher. I teach grammar, vocabulary, prepare you for tests and also for interviews, small talk or travels. I enjoy conversations as much as exam prep.

Hi! I'm Tabea. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and I grew up in Spain, so I am bilingual in German and Spanish.

I started working as a German tutor in 2017, while I was still travelling a lot between Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK. I soon found out that I really enjoyed online teaching, since I had the chance to meet people from all over the world. Hello! My name is Simon and I come from Germany. For many years, I lived abroad, working and studying in East Timor, Italy, Russia, Jordan and France. Living abroad, I always struggled not knowing the local language and developed a passion to do my best and learn these languages. 

Today I speak 7 languages. To get there, I developed many techniques and methods that helped me improve my grammar, understanding and speaking. Since I started teaching, I have helped more than 50 people and gathered over 2000 teaching hours of experience. I hope to share these techniques with you and help you reach your language learning goals. 

Learning a languages is a unique experience. Everybody has a different story for learning German. You may need to pass a German exam to enter university or work in Germany, you may have German friends or family and want to learn more, or you may simply enjoy learning German. 

For each of you, there is an individual plan waiting that meets these situations, expectations, and goals. Whether you are learning for fun, for an exam, or for travelling, we will practice the types of conversations, vocabulary, and grammar that you will need most.
