Hello! My name is Tim, I’m from England, and I’m a professional English teacher. I trained at International House in London where I gained the Cambridge CELTA qualification, and I’ve worked with students of all levels and of many different nationalities. I’m also a Spanish student (B2-C1 level) so I know how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language!

I use the ‘communicative approach’ to English teaching, which means that you will have lots of opportunities to practise your speaking skills in a relaxed environment and receive helpful feedback. During a lesson, you have many options; for example, you can follow a structured course (like in a language school), you can develop your speaking skills by having conversation classes (if your level is B1+) or I can help you to prepare for an exam such as IELTS. Depending on your goals, I will adapt to you because you are always the protagonist! What’s more, I know how important it is to learn grammar and vocabulary that you can use in the real world, and I also enjoy helping students to improve their pronunciation by exploring how the different sounds in English are produced. I use a variety of interesting materials (such as articles, audios, modern textbooks, and videos) and we can talk about any topic that is of interest to you.

Hi, I’m Liz — a native British English speaker and CELTA-qualified teacher with a BA in English Literature. I’ve lived and worked in London for most of my life, and I bring that real-world language experience directly into my lessons.

I have several years of experience teaching English online in personalised 1-to-1 sessions, as well as in-person classes with groups of young learners at UK language camps. My lessons are centred around your goals, your level, and your learning style. My name is Vicki and I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher for speakers of other languages. CELTA is the teaching certificate issued by Cambridge University. I specialize in Business and Academic English but I also teach general English classes as well. I have been teaching both group and private lessons for about two and a half years. I have an academic background (a Ph.D. in Social and Political Thought and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Art History and Political Studies). My time at university has developed my understanding and use of the English language to an advanced level. I have taught students from all over the world and of all ages. I highly enjoy getting to know people from all around the world. 

I am a New Zealander living in Germany, and as a language learner myself (German and Maori), I know how important it is to enjoy the learning process and to feel safe to make mistakes. I am a very friendly and encouraging teacher and I strive to adapt my lessons to my students' specific needs, wants, and interests. I am also always upskilling as a teacher, participating in webinars and further training opportunities whenever possible in order to learn new teaching techniques. 

Students that take lessons with me also gain access to the Expemo App at no extra charge, enabling them to easily practice the new vocabulary after class as well. In my lessons, I use audio clips, videos, and readings. I also use authentic materials, such as news articles. You are also welcome to bring your own material to class to work on - for example an email you are preparing for work.

Hi there! I'm teacher Dio and I have been a teacher for over a decade. I love what I do - I am passionate about languages. I speak 3 languages (Portuguese, Spanish and of course, English). I've lived in Germany, Ireland, and I just recently moved to Spain. I am telling you this because that means I KNOW how learning a language works.  

Something that is important to know is that you DON'T need to live in an English-speaking country to learn English effectively. Everything really is all about you taking some minutes of your day to study and to surround yourself with the language!
