I’m a TEFL certified English teacher and I specialize in business English, conversational fluency, and pronunciation. I also have about 35 years’ experience in the business sector, including 25 years in education.

I have a degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences from MIT, one of the premier research institutions in the world, and I am very familiar with the academic world in the US. I have an extensive background in non-profit organization management, especially in grassroots movements and education-related work. I've also worked as a writing consultant and math tutor/teacher. I’m a qualified teacher with a bachelor’s degree and a CELTA qualification from Cambridge - for teaching English as a foreign language. I have over 30 years of experience teaching English in classrooms and online to ALL levels of learners.

I specialize in improving fluency and confidence in daily conversation at home and at work. My approach is holistic which means we will use relevant topics and speaking tasks to learn new words and practice language skills.

My goal is that you improve!

I understand that speaking English fluently and naturally is YOUR goal and that you might need help in a particular area – like grammar accuracy or pronunciation and intonation, or a wider set of active vocabulary. You may struggle with listening or reading or writing. These are all areas I can help you improve – once we have identified what you need.

We’ll use a shared document to record your growing vocabulary and highlight areas you need to fix. You will have a written record of every lesson with notes and tips that I will provide. Me as a Teacher
I am a professional English teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience mainly in US - NYC and UK - East Midlands. Initially as a college English and Maths teacher, these days I teach online. My learners are students who tend to improve their school grades, students who are preparing for international exams, business professionals who work or intend to work for international companies or people who learn English for pleasure.  For every individual I usually prepare some tasks for a free talk, grammar practice or a role-play situation with targeting vocabulary and phrases. There is always a summary, a given feedback at the end of the class which helps my learners to make progress highly visible.

I believe that every learner is different and teaching them should be personalized. I like to apply different teaching methods to see which one would be the most productive. Of course, I need to meet student several times to be able to find out his/her learning style and be able to create a teaching strategy.
