Hi, I'm Ava! I'm a native French speaker and a fluent English speaker, I've been tutoring French online for almost six years and I also have experience teaching younger students in the classroom. 

Depending on your needs and your goals, whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, there is always a way for me to help you improve your French skills! I can adapt and do structured exercises to make you progress with grammar, conjugation and vocabulary as well as we can talk on whatever subject you're interested in to improve your comprehension skills. I can help you with pronunciation, phonology, phonetics, or with your homework if you need it. The resources that I usually use are books, texts, dialogues and exercises and I will always provide you with a feedback after the lesson so that you keep a track of what you will have learned.

A little bit about me: I have a Bachelor's degree in British and American literature and civilization and my interests include reading, learning foreign languages and traveling.

Hello ! Welcome to my profile. Why do you want to learn French ? Maybe for  travel or for your job ? My aim is to help you achieve your own gowls in this language. I adapt the class in fonction of levels and needs. For example, if you have just started French, we will see together the basics of the language, the pronunciation... Or if you need to speak French in such a situation, we will do fun exercises together... In the same way, if your level is very good and you only want to discuss and be corrected, it's possible too :) At the end of the course, i send you a document which retraces it. I can't wait to start together !

Bonjour ! Bienvenue sur mon profil. Pourquoi souhaites-tu apprendre le français ? Peut-être pour voyager ou pour ton travail ? Mon but est de t'aider à atteindre tes objectifs dans cette langue. J'adapte mes classes selon les niveaux et besoins. Par exemple, si tu viens juste de commençer à apprendre le Français, nous verrons ensemble les bases de la langue, la prononciation... Ou si tu as besoin de parler français dans une situation précise, nous ferons ensemble des exercices ludiques... De la même manière, si tu as un très bon niveau en français et que tu souhaites simplement discuter et être corrigé, c'est possible aussi :) A la fin du cours, je t'envoie un document retraçant celui-ci. J'ai hâte que l'on commence !

About me

I graduated in French Literature, Philosophy and History (Université Paris 10), and I hold a M. Sc. in Global Change Management (HNE Eberswalde).

Before I moved to São Paulo, Brazil, I lived five years in Berlin where I started to teach. There I tutored privately and also gave literacy classes in German for young refugees. From May 2017 to September 2017, I did training to be a French teacher and I taught French at the Technical University of Berlin for three semesters.

At the moment, I work with several language schools in São Paulo (IFESP, Versátil Idiomas, and the French Alliance). I have experience with teaching to all levels and ages. I also have experience in creating didactic material. 

In parallel to my teaching activities, I also have a solid experience with translation work (English, German, Portuguese > French).

Depending on your objective with the French language (pass a test, work, travel, personal curiosity, etc.), I offer a customised learning path with lively and playful lessons.

I'm Romain, I provide Online Private French Lessons for adults & kids.
I'm the creator of a visual method that uses symbols to represent words, tenses, and grammatical aspects, representing each word with a clear and obvious symbol, helping your brain to memorize and make complex sentences.
This tool is great for people who want & need to visualize what they’re learning.
Moreover, illustrations make your learning experience more fun, easier, but also incredibly effective.
With those symbols placed side by side, the student will start to talk from the very first class guaranteed! Kids learn their native language visually, why would we use another method with adults?

For the past 10 years, I've been teaching French in NYC (Tribeca School), in Shanghai (Fudan University) & Rio de Janeiro.
I have a lawyer degree but I followed my passion for languages and teaching French is my main activity.

Native French teacher with 7 years experience online and many more on one to one classes, I know that the key of success for learning a language is the quality of the relationship between the student and the tutor. My duty is to understand the way you learn and adapt my teaching to your skills....regular work and motivation are the other elements ;-)

I am from the south-west of France.. I really like my native language and I am deeply interested in the history of France, its literature, culture, cuisine...and I am also very international as I lived abroad many years, and enjoyed it so much ! I have traveled a lot, met a lot of people and learned different languages such as English, Spanish & Bulgarian...so I've been a learner all my life. I understand the learning mechanisms.

I've also helped a lot of people in their study of French : homework, conversations, pronunciation, French for business, pleasure, practical life, personal projects...thus, I teach different levels (beginners to advanced) and different abilities.

I will adapt to your level and your needs. We will choose the topics together. My name is Florence. I come from France and I am an experienced French teacher for foreigners, certified by the Alliance Française de Paris and hold a Master’s degree in FLE (french for foreigners) to teach you my mother tongue. I have experience teaching a wide range of adults from all continents and at all levels.

But also ... before starting to teach French full-time and because of a double technical and commercial training, I worked for a long time in marketing and international trade for companies in various sectors of activities: electrical construction, car accessories, shoes… I also created my own business to distribute my creations of costume jewelry.

I’m originally from the East of France, a small town near the Swiss border, and I've been around a lot! I have lived in different regions of France: from North to South, from East to West, from Paris to Nice, from Lyon to Albi. After living in Valparaiso, Chile, I returned to Europe and then settled in Spain for almost 15 years. Today, I live in Alicante with my family.

I hope to meet you very soon and share very pleasant sessions with you. Please note that I made the choice to teach online only to ADULTS.

Hello Everyone, 

Languages are a passion of mine, I am currently working on language 5 and 6. Because I've been learning other languages  I am very familiar with the difficulties my students can have and which methods are efficient. 

My first objective is for my student to develop the skills to speak and understand French so that they can be independant consulting French content at home. My classes are very relaxed and I try to have a good time while I teach. My classes are tailored to each student's level. 

• For beginners: we work on the elements of the sentence, conjugating verbs, prononciation exercises, we read basic text and we start writing and speaking in French. we also introduce the idea of daily practice.
• For intermediates we work on more advanced grammatical concepts and conjugating with more tenses, we work with audio and written format (about 50/50 technique and practice)
• For advanced students we usually do more conversation based exercises, prior to the class I'll send a podcast, documentary, youtube video, movie extracts and more and the student have to express their thoughts, their critic or commentary on the topic, on my hand I will ask questions to keep the conversation going. We can also do interview prep, review of essays written in French etc.

 I also do give a little bit of homework.

Learning languages is a passion of mine, along with many others :-) I welcome everyone to come and learn with me; whatever your current level, I’ll be very happy to help you gain more fluency in French. I’m very patient and will provide a cheerful and safe environment where you can talk without any stress or fear of being judged. I try to stick to French as much as possible during the lessons in order to build up your confidence about being able to navigate through your new language. 

I believe in helping you master French as it is spoken/written by actual French-speaking people, not textbooks. This means adapting the material and language level to the situation. Indeed, we don’t usually speak in daily life the way a journalist does on the news. And we don’t write a formal report as we would an email to a friend. So knowing your goals and why you are learning French is essential.
