I'm Veronica, I'm Italian and I currently live in The Netherlands. I started teaching Italian when I was in university, I graduated in foreign languages and there I met many foreign students who wanted to learn the Italian language. I realised immediately that to teach my language is a wonderful way to transmit my culture, and thus I got passionate about it and I became first a private language tutor, and then a qualified language teacher.

I have been teaching Italian for several years now, for all age groups and levels, I'm ready for every student's needs and requests. My teaching approach is mostly communicative: I think it is fundamental for a language to be practised, not only studied in the books. Of course, grammar and rules are important, but using them immediately in a real-context related conversation instead of simply studying them, ensures a better assimilation of the grammar by the student. Moreover, this kind of approach is going to be more useful when it comes to the use of a language (and less boring!!).

I like lessons when they keep the student enthusiast and willing to make questions. I will also use linguistic online games, especially at the end of the lesson, to put into practice and really see what you have learnt. Hi, I'm a native Italian teacher and live in Salerno, a little town in the south of Italy.

I have been studying English and Spanish, so I know from experience that learning a language takes time and dedication. My aim is to make this process as pleasant and fun as possible. 

I deal with many students around the world by giving language lessons, both in person, at the Italian language school Accademia Leonardo in Salerno, and online.

My passion for languages and my studies brought me to understand that languages are not just simple codes ruled by grammar norms, but that they are actually used to express ourselves as individuals with different backgrounds and cultures.

Lessons will focus primarily on the conversational aspect of the language by using textbooks and materials (e.g. PDFs, audiofiles, Googledocs) that I use in language schools in Italy.

Since I have the DITALS certification, I can help you pass CELI, PLIDA and CILS exams.

Flexibility will be guaranteed according to the student. All students will be asked to take a placement test that they will have to submit at least 3 days before the first lesson. We'll be discussing the results during the fist lesson and then decide how to work together.

My name is Donatella and I’m a native Italian Language Tutor. My name is Ilaria and I studied International Communication at "University for Foreigners of Perugia", but don't worry (in Italian we would say "tranquillo"), I'm 100% italian!

My first experience in teaching Italian as a second language was in 2009 in the south of France.

Once back in Italy I began teaching Italian to foreign students at school...it was 2010.

I've been doing it since then and my students come from all over the world. Today I know for sure that is not enough to be a "native" to teach someone a language.

Grammar is often considered boring but we can't avoid learning it. Only when you know the role and function of every single word in a sentence you'll have a solid understanding that will improve your confidence in speaking a foreign language.
