Hi! thanks for visiting my page! I am a professional English and Italian language teacher with over 6 years' experience teaching students from all around the world. I am very creative and curious, always excited about meeting new students and engage in interesting conversations. I always try to design a lesson around the learner's needs and focus on the areas to improve. I am very passionate about languages but I also love writing fiction, painting and playing the guitar. I am interested in various subjects from art to politics, from cinema to sport and culture.
I believe teaching should be fun, stimulating and inspiring. I plan my lessons in order to offer a variety of creative and exciting activities, a perfect balance of conversation, writing and listening. I also believe that the student should be made comfortable in order to express themselves and gain confidence with their spoken fluency.
My lessons are focused on vocabulary and spoken fluency but we'll practise the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I apply to the lessons a variety of methods and activities such as role plays, projects, games. At the end of the lesson I always provide feedback and clarification on emerging vocabulary or new expressions.

I create customized lessons based on your needs and interests. I will provide you with all the material you need and I will focus on the reading and listening comprehension with the beginners (so they can start to become acquainted with the Italian language) and on conversation and fluency with the intermediate/advanced ones. Grammatical elements will be introduced as you work on your reading, listening and speaking: in this way you will learn about the language structures more naturally. During the first lesson I will give you a placement test (in order to find out your language level) and we will set the goals of the course together.
I would describe myself as a patient and helpful tutor. I have many years of experience in giving one-to-one lessons to students of any age, I love my job and having the chance to know other cultures!

Hi, My name is Anna, and I'm from Venice in Italy.
I'm a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator. I graduated in English language and literature at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, where I live with my family. I got the Postgraduate Master ITALS to teach Italian to foreigners. My current field of research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to understand what happens in our brain when we study a new language. I specialized in teaching to adults and seniors.
I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian abroad. I've been teaching Italian and English since 2004. I work with students from all backgrounds, and my classes are for those who want to improve Italian communication, grammar, vocabulary and reading.
I focus on your needs, no matter what your level is and I work on your confidence because everyone of us is a learner and I know how it feels when you can't find the words.
My sessions are very personal because I think that each student is different and has a personal way to learn. I'll be very pleased to work with you and help you reach your goals. When I'm not teaching, I like travelling. I lived in London for some time and also in Liverpool while I was writing my thesis about the Scouse variety of English. I also speak Spanish and I'm a learner too, and I perfectly understand how hard it is to study a new language. So, book a class with me and we will learn a lot of new things together.

I have a degree in Literature and I'm certified to teach Italian to foreigners. I've been teaching for 5 years non-stop and I've experimented with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. I speak English, Spanish, I can translate Latin and I love history. I use a communicative approach but I deem grammar essential, that's why I prefer to alternate exercises, reading and creative games. In my free time, I write, I watch movies and I practice sport. I also enjoy playing my guitar and playing chess.
See Reviews From StudentsThe beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 Italian lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.

New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Italian as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever Italian tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching Italian in Sydney because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning Italian online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private Italian lessons in Sydney is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Sydney, there are many options for learning Italian. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with Italian tutors in Sydney if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with an Italian tutor in Sydney, face-to-face.
