Hi, I'm Cristina from Italy!

I studied Foreign languages and Linguistics and I'm here to help you learn and discover the beauties of the Italian language. My lessons are mainly focused on grammar, vocabulary, conversation and pronunciation. My approach to teaching depends on the level and goals of the student. Not only will we learn grammar and new words but we will also pay attention to the correct pronunciation (I have a standard pronunciation so you can easily learn the standard variety of Italian)  : the student will be given some exercises to practise their pronunciation (tongue twisters are great to practise the difficult sounds of a foreign language!). Moreover, we will develop the four language skills ( speaking, writing, listening and reading) through constant and gradual training. 

With more advanced students, it can be great to have conversational lessons. Since I'm a very curious person (I'm very passionate about Science, Art and sport) we may talk about any topic you are interested in.

I have a teacher in Lettere Moderne and I'm certified to teach Italian language to foreigners. I've been teaching for 5 years non-stop and I've experimented with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. I speak English, Spanish and French, I can translate Latin and I love history and philosophy. Although I specialize in teaching Italian phonetics to foreigners, especially English, Spanish, and Portuguese students, I always adapt my lessons to your level (A1-C1) and goals.
In the first free lesson, I will give you feedback about your level of Italian and ask you about your objectives and motivations.
Then, after understanding your level, I will create a plan to make your language learning fun and efficient and share it with you.
In particular, if your main aim is only to learn the Italian language, we can focus on all the aspects of the language (grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking).
Instead, if you need to learn more about Italian culture, we will discuss history and traditions while learning the language.

I am very fond of Italian culture and I love to spread it all over the world. To know "Italy" is not only about visiting the cities of Milan, Florence or Venice. Italy is much more.
It is experiencing the calm of the Alps, hiking the Dolomites, eating Neapolitan street food, and being charmed by the Sardinian or Apulian transparent sea.
It is discovering Sicilian ways of life, hiking Mount Etna (Europe's largest active volcano), its widespread Bronte pistachio, and wines, both of them grown on volcanic soil.
But, first of all, it is a land of contrasts, which can be clearly understood only if you visit both northern and southern Italy, by getting in touch with the locals and their ways of life.

Hi, I'm a native Italian teacher living in Salerno, a little city in the south of Italy near the Amalfi Coast.

I have been studying English and Spanish, so I know from experience that learning a language takes time and dedication. My aim is to make this process as pleasant and fun as possible. 

I deal with many students around the world by giving language lessons, both in person, in Italian language schools, and online.

My passion for languages and my studies brought me to understand that languages are not just simple codes ruled by grammar norms, but that they are actually used to express ourselves as individuals with different backgrounds and cultures.

Lessons will focus primarily on the conversational aspect of the language by using textbooks and materials (e.g. PDFs, audiofiles, Googledocs) that I use in language schools in Italy.

Since I have the DITALS certification, I can help you pass CELI, PLIDA and CILS exams.

Flexibility will be guaranteed according to the student. All students will be asked to take a placement test that they will have to submit at least 3 days before the first lesson. We will be discussing the results during the fist lesson and then decide how to work together.

My name is Marzia and I am a native Italian language teacher! Are you interested in learning Italian to travel to Italy, to learn more about the Italian culture, or to connect with your Italian roots?  Whatever your reason, I’d be happy to help you!  

I have been teaching online for more than five years and I am passionate about sharing my love for my language with my students.  I teach students of all ages and levels. 

Lessons are based on the needs of my students. Some students prefer the traditional grammar approach, while others want to focus on conversation from the very first lesson.  Regardless, my approach is communicative to enable my students to comfortably and confidently speak Italian since I believe that the purpose of a language is communication!

I use authentic materials including newspapers, magazines and listening exercises.  This helps my students in their language journey since our lessons are more interesting.

Hi everyone, I am Anna and I am a professional Italian teacher for foreigners. I come from Venice where I live and work. I can help you in the study of modern Italian as it is really spoken nowadays. I am a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. I completed the ITALS Master's degree for teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners. My field of specialization and current research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to better understand what happens in our brains and minds when we study a foreign language and what emotions are involved. I specialize in teaching adults and seniors and am currently studying in a Psychology course at Yale University. I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian culture abroad. When I am not teaching, I travel. I lived in London for a while and also in Liverpool while I was writing my dissertation. I also speak Spanish, so I am also a language student and understand very well how difficult it is to study a language.
