I’m a native Spanish teacher from Ruzafa, Valencia (Spain), certified by Universidad de Nebrija. I'm teaching and improving my students skills since 2014. I can teach from conversation lessons to preparation for DELE certificates (from A1 to C2). I have experience in online and face to face lessons: my method is based on conversation (acquiring fluency) and expanding, in a practical way, your grammatical knowledge and vocabulary to improve. Graduated in English Studies by the University of Alcala and certified as a Spanish Teacher with ELE title, I have more than 10 years of experience teaching English and Spanish. I was born in Argentina but came to Spain twenty years ago, therefore I know Spanish and South American culture to the same extent. My name is Samuel and I live in Madrid. In 2013 I got my Spanish teacher Certificate and since then I have been teaching Spanish in many language schools -in person and the last two years mainly online due to the pandemic. I have also taught group classes and individual one to one classes in companies. I have also helped many students to pass DELE exams.

I have a Philosophy Degree as well from Universidad Complutense. Madrid. I also really love to talk about a wide range of topics. I enjoy listening and learning from my students. Everyone has interesting things to say. With me,  you will be talking about things you like without noticing you are doing it in Spanish.

I can share with you many books, videos, infographics, newspaper articles etc in pdf format so that we have always fresh and juicy material to discuss. These last ones are a fantastic complement because sometimes the standard books for learning might be designed –what is fine- for generic purposes. Pdf files are included in the price.

I have taught students from every corner of the world and from  very different  backgrounds. I love learning from my students while I am teaching them.

I speak very fluent English so even if your knowledge of Spanish is 0 don’t be afraid. You will always be comfortable in my classes. I am also learning French so I haven’t forgotten how does it feel to be a beginner ;)

I consider myself to be a very patience, disciplined, kind and creative person.

I am passionate about history, pastries, literature, linguistics, animals ( 100% dog lover! 🐕) and, of course, languages. So if you are interested in any of those topics we’ll make a good match :]

And if you don’t, that’s ok! I find very nourishing learning about topics outside my comfort zone.

I speak Spanish since i am a native speaker from Peru, with a neutral accent. I do speak English fluently, German and a bit of Japanese also.

I use a methodology based on research and methods proven by psychologists and teachers. My classes are ALWAYS prepared and structured to meet your needs. The methodologies i use are:

1️⃣ TPRS  (Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling) and comprehensible input -> For learning grammar and vocabulary in a engaging, stress-free way!

2️⃣ Breaking down your favorite songs, stories and articles -> To practice reading, vocab and pronunciation!

3️⃣ Direct method (speaking only in Spanish for intermediate or advanced students) -> To strengthen your speaking and listening abilities

ALSO, i always explain grammar step by step and provide flashcards to remember vocabulary (based on the science proved method “Spaced repetition”).

I provide each of my students a personalized plan and homework based on their goals, needs and way of learning.

Hello, I'm Ruth, and I am from Peru. I live in Cusco, the city of the Incas, where Machu Picchu is located. I'd love to be your future Spanish tutor!  Likewise, I've been teaching for a while, working with a diverse range of students. This experience has helped me understand how individuals learn at different stages of life. Also, my knowledge of English allows me to connect with students and help them grasp the nuances of the Spanish language. I really enjoy teaching and supporting students to master my native language, of which I am very passionate.

My teaching style is all about making learning fun and interactive. I'll simplify things for you, especially boosting your confidence in speaking. It's important to note that our classes are mostly conversational because speaking is where you'll truly master Spanish. However, I'll adjust the classes to your needs. We'll discuss topics you enjoy and apply them to practical scenarios, empowering you to communicate effectively in everyday situations.

During our classes, I'll be typing out your mistakes. It's easy for me to spot errors since Spanish is my mother tongue, and at the end of each class, we'll go over them together. I'll provide you with regular feedback. This way, you'll be able to track and measure your progress and see how you're enhancing your language skills.

Beyond teaching, I have several hobbies and passions. I have a deep love for engaging in meaningful conversations and building connections with people. Additionally, I find immense joy in immersing myself in nature through activities like trekking and wholeheartedly embracing new challenges.

I'm from Bogotá, Colombia, and I’m a certified English teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. My native language is Spanish, and I’ve been living in the United States for the past five years.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students of all ages — from young children to teenagers and adults — which has helped me develop a variety of activities and strategies tailored to different ages, needs, and learning styles.

Passionate about languages and intercultural exchanges, I have taught English and Spanish as foreign languages for over 15 years in Puerto Rico, France, and online.  I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students from various backgrounds, integrating multicultural teaching resources to diversify learning styles.  I happen to believe that there is not one and only way of teaching or learning a foreign language.  Therefore, I adapt my lessons and methods to the students’ objectives, needs and interests.  My goal is always to offer an open, honest, communicative and supportive environment in which every student can feel motivated and appropriately challenged. 

I cover all levels and have experience in conversational classes. Every class is adapted to the student's level and will tailored to your needs.

Practical, conversational Spanish includes lots of activities, like word games, guess the word, creating stories using different tenses... 

But if you prefer, we can also have dictations, make grammar exercises or choose online resources or magazine articles to talk about.

The first one is a class where you can ask me any question you want about Spanish. It can be about vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or even about our way of thinking. ;)

The second type of class is one in which I use my own teaching method, with which you can practice your writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills, and also improve your pronunciation and grammar during every session.
