Hi. I am Chris and I’m a qualified and experienced teacher of English as a foreign language and a native speaker of British English. I have taken more than 6000 lessons online and have many regular students. I am very patient and passionate about the English language. My relaxed lesson style will boost your confidence, make you feel less nervous and enable you to improve your English skills by helping you sound more natural.

I am flexible about the content of the lessons and try to structure them according to YOUR needs. I will initially assess your level, and focus on reducing weaknesses so that you can see a clear improvement in your level and self confidence. Technique is vital to pass standard exams like IELTS and Cambridge. Hi, I am Harriet, a native English speaker and qualified teacher with over 20 years teaching experience.

The lessons are structured around you as an individual and start with finding out what you want to learn or improve and why. We will then agree a plan of interesting and challenging activities to help you meet your goals. I teach general conversation skills, including increasing confidence, and learning new vocabulary and Business English. I have helped many students successfully prepare for job interviews or to take on new roles. I can also help you prepare for language tests and focus on pronunciation.

The lessons will be lively and varied, using a range of methods, materials and contexts. We will regularly review your progress and goals and I will suggest activities outside of class to help you practice what you have learnt. I am experienced in teaching beginners to advanced level students from teenagers to adults. I have Masters degrees in Creative Writing and Psychology and so am able to use and teach both creative and academic language skills. 

 I live in Hove in southeast England and also spend a lot of time in Lisbon, Portugal. I am trying to learn Portuguese and finding it challenging but fun.  I love meeting new people and finding out about them and what motivates them. Hi, I’m Jocelyn. I’m an Architecture student from Bristol, and I go to Cardiff University. I was previously volunteering as an English teacher at a Bilingual Academy, on my year out living abroad in Seville, and I also completed an Architecture Internship when I was there. For the last two years, I’ve been tutoring students of all ages. These have ranged from pupils preparing for curriculum exams, to learning English as their second language.

I have always made sure to be sympathetic to students' situations, and am flexible with lesson lengths and times. I make every effort to accommodate your needs and targets as a student, to ensure we approach the lesson in a way that works best for you. My aim is to facilitate your learning development with interactive lessons that you can fit into your schedule, without making you feel overloaded.
