Hi, I'm Cristina from Italy!

I studied Foreign languages and Linguistics and I'm here to help you learn and discover the beauties of the Italian language. My lessons are mainly focused on grammar, vocabulary, conversation and pronunciation. My approach to teaching depends on the level and goals of the student. Not only will we learn grammar and new words but we will also pay attention to the correct pronunciation (I have a standard pronunciation so you can easily learn the standard variety of Italian)  : the student will be given some exercises to practise their pronunciation (tongue twisters are great to practise the difficult sounds of a foreign language!). Moreover, we will develop the four language skills ( speaking, writing, listening and reading) through constant and gradual training. 

With more advanced students, it can be great to have conversational lessons. Since I'm a very curious person (I'm very passionate about Science, Art and sport) we may talk about any topic you are interested in.

Hi! My name is Martina, I’m Italian and I live in Rome.

I’m graduated in Foreign Languages and I have a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation.

I can speak English and Spanish at a good level and I also speak a little bit of French.

As you can see from my background, I’m a big fan of languages, so I fully understand how difficult it is to learn a new language. But I’m here to help you!

In Rome I teach Italian as a foreign language to young adults coming from all over Europe, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. So, my classes depend a lot on the level of the student.

At beginner level I focus mainly on the basic aspects of communication, using readings, songs and videos,with more emphasis on grammar.

At advanced levels the classes are more informal, based on conversations regarding different topics that we can choose together.

Therefore, my aim  is to listen to each student's needs and tailor the class according to their interests.

I enjoy travelling, watching TV series, and especially cooking and eating desserts.

I create my lessons with the help of books, images, authentic material, my personal experiences and a bit of sense of humour. 
Italian is a language full of history and culture. I believe it is almost impossible to learn Italian without learning its culture and traditions. I have a teacher in Lettere Moderne and I'm certified to teach Italian language to foreigners. I've been teaching for 5 years non-stop and I've experimented with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. I speak English, Spanish and French, I can translate Latin and I love history and philosophy. I use a communicative approach but I deem grammar essential, that's why I prefer to alternate exercises, reading and creative games. In my free time, I write, I watch movies and I practice sport. Hi, I'm a native Italian teacher living in Salerno, a little city in the south of Italy near the Amalfi Coast.

I have been studying English and Spanish, so I know from experience that learning a language takes time and dedication. My aim is to make this process as pleasant and fun as possible. 

I deal with many students around the world by giving language lessons, both in person, in Italian language schools, and online.

My passion for languages and my studies brought me to understand that languages are not just simple codes ruled by grammar norms, but that they are actually used to express ourselves as individuals with different backgrounds and cultures.

Lessons will focus primarily on the conversational aspect of the language by using textbooks and materials (e.g. PDFs, audiofiles, Googledocs) that I use in language schools in Italy.

Since I have the DITALS certification, I can help you pass CELI, PLIDA and CILS exams.

Flexibility will be guaranteed according to the student. All students will be asked to take a placement test that they will have to submit at least 3 days before the first lesson. We will be discussing the results during the fist lesson and then decide how to work together.

Since I also work in language schools, I strongly recommend booking in advance so I can arrange my agenda.

Hello! I am a professional Italian teacher with many years of experience. I am Italian but I have been living for several years in Germany where I teach Italian in schools and at the University.

I specialised at the University of Rome and at the University for Foreigners of Perugia in teaching Italian to foreigners and, at the moment, at the University of Portsmouth in England I am carrying out a PhD on the best strategies for learning Italian language vocabulary.

Hi everyone, I am Anna and I am a professional Italian teacher for foreigners. I come from Venice where I live and work. I can help you in the study of modern Italian as it is really spoken nowadays. I am a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. I completed the ITALS Master's degree for teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners. My field of specialization and current research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to better understand what happens in our brains and minds when we study a foreign language and what emotions are involved. I specialize in teaching adults and seniors and am currently studying in a Psychology course at Yale University. I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian culture abroad. I have been teaching Italian and English since 2004. I work with students from diverse backgrounds and my classes are for anyone who wants to improve and deepen communication, grammar, vocabulary and reading.

I always pay attention to your needs no matter what your level is. We will work on your confidence because we are all students and I know how difficult it is when you can't find the words to express what you are thinking and feeling. When I am not teaching, I travel. I lived in London for a while and also in Liverpool while I was writing my dissertation. I also speak Spanish, so I am also a language student and understand very well how difficult it is to study a language.
