My name is Ilaria and I studied International Communication at "University for Foreigners of Perugia", but don't worry (in Italian we would say "tranquillo"), I'm 100% italian!

I have a certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language (CEDILS) issued by the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

My first experience in teaching Italian as a second language was in 2009 in the south of France.

Once back in Italy I began teaching Italian to foreign students at school...it was 2010.

I've been doing it since then and my students come from all over the world. Today I know for sure that is not enough to be a "native" to teach someone a language.

Grammar is often considered boring but we can't avoid learning it. Only when you know the role and function of every single word in a sentence you'll have a solid understanding that will improve your confidence in speaking a foreign language.  

It's like to lay the foundations for building a house!

So, what can I do for you?

I can make my experience and knowledge available to you and make your learning process easier and faster without forgetting that it should be also pleasant and enjoyable.

If you're not a beginner we can better explore the language and see together all its nuances.

We can concentrate on lexicon, common expressions, pronunciation and much more.

I'll guide you but first of all your needs will guide me to trace the path in reaching our common objective!

My teaching approach relies on practice and immersion in the language, through conversation and consumption of multiple medias (music, movies, books). 

My main focus is making my students able to communicate and interact as soon as possible, so that they can enjoy their language-learning journey instead of just studying and waiting for a long time before they can actually use what they learned.

During our encounters we will talk, write and practice, intertwining the formal learning of grammar and vocabulary with the more entertaining usage of each skill you will acquire.

No matter the level you begin with, from first basic interactions to formal high-level discussions, we can work together to improve your skills and proficiency.
I am skilled and professional, but also flexible and easy-going.

My interests are mainly of the nerd-ish persuasion, such as fantasy and sci-fi novels, movies and series, boardgames, RPGs and suchlike. 

I love learning new things and discovering old classics with my friends and my students, and this is mainly why I got my degree in philosophy and studied many different topics on my own.

Hi, I am Eleonora and I am from Italy (near Venice). 

With me, you can improve your conversational Italian. I have more than 6 years of experience tutoring students with different levels of Italian. Some of them were beginners when they started and they managed to reach a good level of Italian after a few months. I also helped more experienced students with their university exams or thesis. So, even if my classes here focus more on spoken Italian when there is a need, we can improve your written and academic Italian. 

My classes are personalized according to your needs, level of language, individual interests, and goals. During the classes, you will improve and learn new vocabulary and grammar. The classes are always different and we will use material such as songs, online videos, news, and literature text to help facilitate the conversation and your learning. My students are of different nationalities and backgrounds giving me the chance to keep on learning myself. Hi! thanks for visiting my page! I am a professional English and Italian language teacher with over 6 years' experience teaching students from all around the world. I am very creative and curious, always excited about meeting new students and engage in interesting conversations. I always try to design a lesson around the learner's needs and focus on the areas to improve. I am very passionate about languages but I also love writing fiction, painting and playing the guitar. I am interested in various subjects from art to politics, from cinema to sport and culture.

I believe teaching should be fun, stimulating and inspiring. My name is Elena, I'm a native and CLTA qualified Italian teacher with MD in Italian Linguistics and 10 years of teaching experience in Copenhagen, London and Barcelona. I'm ready to bet a Spritz no teacher has ever asked you that!  Or anybody else ever, for all that matters. But they should!  Let me explain: everybody knows how to order in a restaurant or ask for directions but it’s when you step out of the safe path that your brain really starts to learn faster.

For one thing, you won't feel the pressure to look smart in front of your teacher. C'mon, they just asked you to speak Italian with a platypus, are you really worried about bad impressions? For another, you’ll have to work with your own resources to deal with a new situation. Which comes very handy when you speak with natives. (Natives always have this bad habit of saying a lot more things than what's in your handbook, and they never seem to ask you the questions you know how to answer...) So, why don't you give it a try? ;)

I have a teacher in Lettere Moderne and I'm certified to teach Italian language to foreigners. I've been teaching for 5 years non-stop and I've experimented with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. I speak English, Spanish and French, I can translate Latin and I love history and philosophy. I use a communicative approach but I deem grammar essential, that's why I prefer to alternate exercises, reading and creative games. In my free time, I write, I watch movies and I practice sport. I also enjoy playing my guitar and playing chess.

I began teaching when I was studying my Bachelor's degree (che bei tempi!) ... I started almost as a joke but I realized soon that I actually liked this profession and, after so many years, I still feel the same!

I usually offer a free trial lesson, where I like to get to know my students better and understand their needs, goals and interests.

This helps me not only to build a tailor made learning path, which is shared and discussed with the student, but also to select the material and the topics that best suit each person.

If I had to choose my strongest point, I would definitely say that it is the kind of relationship I establish with my students: open and informal to make learning easier and to fully enjoy the experience.
