Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in SĂŁo Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil.Â
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish. Â I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries. After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing. On top of that, I find it very interesting to be able to talk to people with different profiles, backgrounds and histories.
We will define the material to be used according to your specific needs. We'll work with a variety of materials such as:
-French language methods (DĂŠfi, Tout va bien, Alter Ego, etc.)
-Grammar/vocabulary books covering general themes or more specific to your objectivesÂ
-Recent articles, videos and audios on current topics
-Speaking or conversational exercices
-Test preparation
In addition, I try to stimulate the student to talk about different themes that are important to him/her.

Bonjour a tous!!
Are you planning to move to a French-speaking country? Do you want to improve your language skills? Do you wish to embrace a new culture? I am here to help you, from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in the world!
My name is Alizee, I am from Bretagne, France, the land of butter and cider!
I have been a language teacher since 2014. I graduated from the University of Oregon in the US with a Master of arts (French culture and Literature) and then I got a bachelor of Teaching French as a 2nd language from the University of Nantes, France. I started teaching at the University of Oregon as a GTF and it helped me find my path, teaching became a part of my identity and I really found myself thanks to this experience. Afterwards, I started to travel around south east Asia and moved to Vietnam and started teaching English to Vietnamese students. I started teaching French online when I moved to the Philippines in 2019, and have continued since in several countries such as Canada and France.
I provide personalized online classes, based on your level (from A1 to C2), your goals and your interests. Each class will include grammatical introductions/reminders, listening comprehension but most of all speaking practice. If you are planning to take the DELF exam, I can also help! Homework will be provided outside of class to not waste time during the lesson. From daily life situations, to current events and news, we will have a wide range of different topics.
A bientot!
Alizee

Hi guys! It's Rita here :)
I am an enthusiastic French teacher (I also teach English, Russian, Spanish and German). So, your mother tongue can be any of these languages  as I  speak and teach in all of these languages. Learning grammar is only one part of learning a language, the other part is practicing, and of course having as much fun as possible during the learning process! I work with a book to give your learning a structure. However, I also choose interesting videos, audio files and conversation topics so that you get immersed into the language as much as possible.Â
My focus lies on the right pronunciation, motivating you and showing you that learning a language can be lots of fun. I have lived and worked two years in the South of France and have a German diploma in translation and interpretation for French, German and English. I speak 7 languages and 5 of them fluently. I want to show you that it is possible to learn a new language fast and with fun. I usually need 3-4 weeks in order to speak a new language fluently. How do I do it? Through as much immersion into the language as possible: reading books, comics, watching cartoons, films, YouTube videos, listening to songs, and speaking to natives in real life and online.
My students have a high success rate as I have over 15 years of teaching experience (I started tutoring the younger kids in English when I was at college, and worked as a language coach during my studies). See you soon in class! Sending you lots of good vibes, Rita

Hello my name is teacher Sussu and I am so happy to meet you.
I am an experienced teacher with more than 17 years of experience.
I have a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and FLE (French as a Second Language) and I am Montessori certified.
I believe that learning a new language should be fun and exciting.
Yes, it is not always easy, but it is more like a puzzle you build piece by piece.
I always start where you are and offer new ways to use and expand what you already know.
My priority in class is to make sure my students speak and relax.
The more relaxed, the more confident you will be. The more daring, the more you will see that it is okay to make mistakes and try again.
I will always challenge you to reach higher, to add one step and then another step in your language journey. And then, you will have fun doing so.
Plus, I match my classes to your interests and goals.
So what do you think?
Are you ready to book a trial with me?
I promise to always be patient and kind.
I hope to see you soon.
Until then...

Hi! My name is Simon, I am French and I live in France.
You are beginner in French? Your level is intermediate? Advanced? You want to improve your fluency? You want to speak genuine French?Â
I have a special methodology for you. With more than 5 000 hours of teaching online, it has become clear what works best for you.
Â
Here is an exemple of a methodology, that is adapted for each level and each student;
We study a grammar rule, and a vocabulary theme.
Then we do exercices to practice.
After this, we have an oral conversation and you have the opportunity to use the grammar rules and the vocabulary studied.
In the beginning of each lesson, we review words studied previously.
Besides, I can send homework, if you want to progress faster.
Â
I will be happy to help you so you are welcome to book a lesson now!

Let's set your goal and start a work plan! There are many reasons to learn French, such as:
I can help with all of the above, and more.
It is always a pleasure to be able to have a fluent conversation (or a heated debate) with students who sometimes started as total beginners and to see them acing their exams.
As for the method, I use trusted manuals and activity books because I believe in structure, but also material that suits your interests and tastes - from literature to popular songs, news to scientific articles, series, and movies (subtitled or not), online resources and grammar exercises. Resources are shared on a Slack group where lessons are summarized, and tasks listed. I can also tailor-make lessons for a specific objective like a job interview or a power point presentation.
Teaching French has been my main activity for several years both privately and at the Alliance Française. I am outgoing and chatty, but homework is not optional (at least if you want to improve fast!).
Do not hesitate to book a trial session.
See you soon!

About me
Bonjour ! My name is Adeline & I'm a full-time French teacher. I also speak English fluently and a bit of Spanish. I live in France, my home country, and I like to do conversational classes to teach my language, and sometimes a bit of my culture, to foreigner students. If you want to know a little bit more about me, here are the things I'm passionate about: cooking, gardening, video games, nature, travels and other cultures. I also enjoy learning new things therefore do not hesitate to tell me everything about your very own interests :)
I love meeting new people and I really look forward talking with you soon!
My lessons
Whether you are here to learn French from scratch, or to improve that language, you've come to the right person. As I can speak English and Spanish, don't worry if your French is not completely fluent: we will work on it together. I learned my other languages while travelling so I'm very aware about the fact that the best way to learn a language is by practicing it everyday in casual conversations.
I usualy like to start with a first conversation to evaluate your French level and your goals. We will then decide together what kind of class, duration and frequency best suits your needs, level and availability. Then I will adapt the way I speak and teach to your personal needs.Â
We will spend the majority of our time together having conversations in French and, if you want, I also can provide formal lessons with exercices & oral or written comprehension.

***Note : Thanks for all your trust, I'm very grateful. Please, note that my calendar is very tight on this platform, don't hesitate to book in advance your lessons to avoid seing your slot already taken or send me an email if you don't see your normal time on the calendar. ***
Hi, I'm Sabrina, I was born in Bayonne but my studies in French Literature and French as a Foreign Language led me to live and work in different places and countries, to many students of all ages and levels !Â
That's why I would be delighted to teach my French language, whether you need it for your work, your studies, to pass your DELF/DALF examens, to brush up your grammar or to master the "art de la conversation". I always tailor my lesson, based on your level, your goals and your interests.Â
As a creative person, I try to use that part of my personality to make our lesson fun yet efficient, in a relaxed atmosphere where you feel confident to speak and explore French. This is the time where you have the ability to speak French as much as possible.
Iâm always in search for new material (articles, songs, podcasts, gamesâŚ) to work on, trying as much as possible to use authentic material and any tools (Google Docs, screenshare, slidesâŚ) that seem adequate to learn the language French people actually speak.Â
I've got loads of texbooks as well, where I like to extract interesting texts or drills to make you practise when it seems relevant to do so.Â
What's important to me is that each online lesson is a place and time where you can feel confident to speak in French, in a relaxed atmosphere where you can explore our beautiful language and culture.Â
I am a very easy-going, passionate and good-natured person, keen in many different subjects and aspects of our life. When I'm not teaching, I like reading, watching movies, writing, walking, traveling, practising yoga, doing theater and struggling on my guitar ! (To only name a few)
Looking forward to meeting you on this platform and learning together !
Au plaisir !

See Reviews From StudentsTutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching French in Barcelona because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private French lessons in Barcelona is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Barcelona, there are many options for learning French. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with French tutors in Barcelona if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a French tutor in Barcelona, face-to-face.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think itâll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, youâll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and youâll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 French lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Hereâs how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
Weâre confident youâll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutorsâ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutorâs full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, youâll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever French tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, youâll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the âBuy Lessonsâ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if theyâre for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
