I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests. 

Languatalk is perfect to learn a language in a very efficient, funny and motivating way. My teaching method is based on oral communication and pronunciation, which doesn’t mean that you won’t learn and practice grammar and structures which are necessary to express oneself properly. Through the material provided such as books, newspapers, videos, you will also be improving your reading and listening skills. We can also work your writing if you need or want to.

I've been teaching French online since 2016, previously having worked developing the skills of young people, adults and foreigners of all levels.

In my opinion, a teacher’s enthusiasm, patience, humour and understanding of their students’ needs are key to help a student learn efficiently, and for the student to enjoy lessons which is important for learning,

I adapt my teaching to your needs which will naturally vary according to your personnel situation, from beginner to advanced level, as a teenager at school or student, or as a mature learner. Choosing topics which interest you is very important.

Your needs may vary such as:

- learning the French language, discovering French culture, history or current affairs.

- seeking conversational French to keep up your level. If you have an intermediate level or above, we can speak about any topic that interests you.

- wanting to improve or refresh your French before visiting France or working in a French speaking country. De

- wishing to improve your French for professional use.

- looking to pass French proficiency exams such as DELF (A2 to B2) and DALF (C1 to C2).

Teaching method:

I use a variety of tools and aids such as books for grammar and vocabulary, specific books for exams such as DELF, press articles, podcasts and literature.

We start with a small test to establish your level and then progress to discussion, reading and writing exercices. I can send you material according to your needs.

About me:

My interests include travel especially in Europe. I spend my time between Provence and Northern Ireland ; nature, animals, and the environment. I loved horse riding ; sustainability ; history, architecture and philosophy ; geopolitics ; food and especially French and Asian food.

I am an enthusiastic French teacher (I also teach English, Russian, Spanish and German). So, your mother tongue can be any of these languages  as I   speak and teach in all of these languages. Learning grammar is only one part of learning a language, the other part is practicing, and of course having as much fun as possible during the learning process! I work with a book to give your learning a structure. However, I also choose interesting videos, audio files and conversation topics so that you get immersed into the language as much as possible. 

My focus lies on the right pronunciation, motivating you and showing you that learning a language can be lots of fun. I have lived and worked two years in the South of France and have a German diploma in translation and interpretation for French, German and English. I speak 7 languages and 5 of them fluently. I want to show you that it is possible to learn a new language fast and with fun. I usually need 3-4 weeks in order to speak a new language fluently. How do I do it? Through as much immersion into the language as possible: reading books, comics, watching cartoons, films, YouTube videos, listening to songs, and speaking to natives in real life and online.

Bonjour, my name is Marion, I am 36 and I am French.

Being a native French speaker and fluent in English, passionate about languages and having been down the path of learning a new language myself, I understand the struggles that a new language learner might have and I know how to be successful, whatever level you decide you want to achieve. 

All the lessons are ONLINE, through Zoom (or Skype). I use various contents such as workbooks, audio documents, and videos and I am trying to keep up to date with the constant flow of new learning material to give you the best experience. I aim to make learning French as fun as possible while matching your needs and reaching your goals. After each lesson, I would send you an email with a recap of what had been covered (+ materials), what you can do at home to practise - only if you want - and what we would cover in the next lesson so you know exactly where you are at.

My background: After obtaining my Baccalauréat in Economic and Social Sciences, I studied for 5 years to become an osteopath in France. In 2016 I left my home country to spend one year working and travelling in New Zealand. I spent another two years in Australia and in 2019 I decided to move to the UK.

I am a certified examiner for DELF A1-A2-B1.I have been teaching french for 14 years.Be it general or business french, my students quickly become comfortable and confident with the language, I have also trained many multinational companies all over the world . I use the learner-centered methods, the input of the sessions are a blend of practice and theory of the language. I use practical activities based on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT),  methodology, throughout the course, I encourage my students to use their own daily situations in class and express them in french like in real life in role plays. Hi! I'm Méloée, I am 28 and I've been teaching French since 2015. I was born and grew up in Bretagne (North-West of France), lived for 7 years in Argentina, 2 years in Marseille (in the South of France) and I live now in Barcelona, Spain. I speak French, Spanish and English, and I am also currently learning Portuguese.

I teach to all levels and ages. Conversation classes, to prepare a trip, an exam, to learn from zero, to practice grammar... we'll see together what are your goals and preferences and I'll tailor my lessons to you. 

In my experience the quickest and best way to progress is speaking and practicing a lot, so I always try to include a lot of practice in my lessons. 

For example, a class may start with a text or video (more or less difficult depending on your level) to practice comprehension, then I'll ask you some specific questions about the document to see if you understood well and see the new vocabulary. Then I'll ask more generic questions around the theme of the video/text, so you talk about your opinion on the subject, related experiences... This way, you'll speak a lot and it allows me to identify easily if you may need some theoretical exercises on specific points.

I will always build my classes depending on your needs. If you are confortable using specifics learning methods or material, let me know and we will plan something together.

I've been teaching French for almost 15 years! I spent the first 10 years traveling the world teaching in schools and universities and the last 5 years teaching people from all around the world entirely online, and I love it! I am a passionate and caring teacher, each of my students is very special to me.

I like to teach in a casual way, so you feel comfortable and learn at your pace. My lessons are often based on friendly conversations and when we encounter a grammar or vocabulary issue, we do a mini lesson on the topic and if needed, we dedicate a full session to it. I can also tailor the lesson to any subject. I'm quite good at explaining French grammar (which can be tricky!) in simple and visual terms. With complete beginners, the lessons are more structured but my goal is for you to be able to have small conversations as soon as possible (sometimes in the 3rd or 4th lesson!). 

I have a lot of experience with a lot of different people in different situations: adults, university students, teenagers, children, people with dyslexia or ADHD, people that never studied a foreign language before, people that immigrated (or wanted to immigrate) to France, people whose partner is French, people who just learned French for fun :) 

My resources include a lot of content I created myself and many digital textbooks.

In conversation classes, I’ll give you plenty of time to speak and I will provide you with detailed feedback that will help you get a better understanding of the use of French. I choose topics we can talk about during and plan lessons around them. However, you are very welcome to choose topics that fit your own interests.

For exam preparation classes, I will focus on improving your writing and speaking skills to help you reach the score you aim at. I have helped many students get the B2+ and more in TEF and TCF Canada exams.

As for beginners classes, we can use a manual or have informal classes.

For me, learning is practicing, doing, imitating, and acting.

Speaking with a native French speaker is the easier way to get comfortable with the slang, intonation, and mannerisms.

I'm here to give you an awesome pronunciation, a fluid spoken, giving you more vocabulary and I’ll be really focusing on how to make you be more fluent and comfortable to speak this beautiful language.
