Hi! My name is Simon and I am French.
You are beginner in French? Your level is intermediate? Advanced? You want to improve your fluency? You want to speak genuine French?
I have a special methodology for you. With more than 5 000 hours of teaching online, it has become clear what works best for you.
Here is an exemple of a methodology, that is adapted for each level and each student;
We study a grammar rule, and a vocabulary theme.
Then we do exercices to practice.
After this, we have an oral conversation and you have the opportunity to use the grammar rules and the vocabulary studied.
In the beginning of each lesson, we review words studied previously.
Besides, I can send homework, if you want to progress faster.
I will be happy to help you so you are welcome to book a lesson now!

Hello Everyone,
Languages are a passion of mine, I am currently working on language 5 and 6. Because I've been learning other languages I am very familiar with the difficulties my students can have and which methods are efficient.
My first objective is for my student to develop the skills to speak and understand French so that they can be independant consulting French content at home. My classes are very relaxed and I try to have a good time while I teach. My classes are tailored to each student's level.
I also do give a little bit of homework.

Hi guys! It's Rita here :)
I am an enthusiastic French teacher (I also teach English, Russian, Spanish and German). So, your mother tongue can be any of these languages as I speak and teach in all of these languages. Learning grammar is only one part of learning a language, the other part is practicing, and of course having as much fun as possible during the learning process! I work with a book to give your learning a structure. However, I also choose interesting videos, audio files and conversation topics so that you get immersed into the language as much as possible.
My focus lies on the right pronunciation, motivating you and showing you that learning a language can be lots of fun. I have lived and worked two years in the South of France and have a German diploma in translation and interpretation for French, German and English. I speak 7 languages and 5 of them fluently. I want to show you that it is possible to learn a new language fast and with fun. I usually need 3-4 weeks in order to speak a new language fluently. How do I do it? Through as much immersion into the language as possible: reading books, comics, watching cartoons, films, YouTube videos, listening to songs, and speaking to natives in real life and online.
My students have a high success rate as I have over 15 years of teaching experience (I started tutoring the younger kids in English when I was at college, and worked as a language coach during my studies). See you soon in class! Sending you lots of good vibes, Rita

About Me
I hold degrees in French Literature, Philosophy, and History from Université Paris 10, as well as an M.Sc. in Global Change Management from HNE Eberswalde.
Before relocating to São Paulo, Brazil, I spent five years in Berlin, where I began my teaching career. There, I provided private tutoring and taught German literacy classes to young refugees. From May to September 2017, I completed a teacher training program in French language instruction and subsequently taught French at the Technical University of Berlin for three semesters.
Currently, I collaborate with several language schools in São Paulo, including IFESP, Versátil Idiomas, and the Alliance Française. I have experience teaching all levels and age groups, and I regularly design custom teaching materials tailored to my students’ needs.
In parallel with teaching, I also work as a translator, with solid experience translating from English, German, and Portuguese into French.
My Methodology
My teaching approach is fully adaptable to your goals, interests, and learning style.
Whether you’re learning French to pass an exam, advance your career, travel, or simply out of curiosity, I offer a personalized learning plan with engaging and interactive lessons.
Over the past four years, I’ve curated a comprehensive digital library of resources and methods, allowing me to build flexible and effective learning paths for each student — all of which I’m happy to share free of charge.

I've been teaching French online since 2016, previously having worked developing the skills of young people, adults and foreigners of all levels.
In my opinion, a teacher’s enthusiasm, patience, humour and understanding of their students’ needs are key to help a student learn efficiently, and for the student to enjoy lessons which is important for learning,
I adapt my teaching to your needs which will naturally vary according to your personnel situation, from beginner to advanced level, as a teenager at school or student, or as a mature learner. Choosing topics which interest you is very important.
Your needs may vary such as:
- learning the French language, discovering French culture, history or current affairs.
- seeking conversational French to keep up your level. If you have an intermediate level or above, we can speak about any topic that interests you.
- wanting to improve or refresh your French before visiting France or working in a French speaking country. De
- wishing to improve your French for professional use.
- looking to pass French proficiency exams such as DELF (A2 to B2) and DALF (C1 to C2).
Teaching method:
I use a variety of tools and aids such as books for grammar and vocabulary, specific books for exams such as DELF, press articles, podcasts and literature.
We start with a small test to establish your level and then progress to discussion, reading and writing exercices. I can send you material according to your needs.
About me:
My interests include travel especially in Europe. I spend my time between Provence and Northern Ireland ; nature, animals, and the environment. I loved horse riding ; sustainability ; history, architecture and philosophy ; geopolitics ; food and especially French and Asian food.

Hello !
My name is Florence. I come from France and I am an experienced French teacher for foreigners, certified by the Alliance Française de Paris and hold a Master’s degree in FLE (french for foreigners) to teach you my mother tongue. I have experience teaching a wide range of adults from all continents and at all levels.
But also ... before starting to teach French full-time and because of a double technical and commercial training, I worked for a long time in marketing and international trade for companies in various sectors of activities: electrical construction, car accessories, shoes… I also created my own business to distribute my creations of costume jewelry.
I’m originally from the East of France, a small town near the Swiss border, and I've been around a lot! I have lived in different regions of France: from North to South, from East to West, from Paris to Nice, from Lyon to Albi. After living in Valparaiso, Chile, I returned to Europe and then settled in Spain for almost 15 years. Today, I live in Alicante with my family.
I hope to meet you very soon and share very pleasant sessions with you. Please note that I made the choice to teach online only to ADULTS.
See you soon !

For me, learning is practicing, doing, imitating, and acting.
Speaking with a native French speaker is the easier way to get comfortable with the slang, intonation, and mannerisms.
I'm here to give you an awesome pronunciation, a fluid spoken, giving you more vocabulary and I’ll be really focusing on how to make you be more fluent and comfortable to speak this beautiful language.
My name is Léa, I am 27 years old and I am a French native, born and raised in the South of France, in Toulouse.
I also speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese and I've been teaching French for 3 years now.
So if you are ready to learn while having fun, send me a message, and let’s start!:)

Hello ! My name is Charlotte, from France. Learning languages is a passion of mine, along with many others :-) I welcome everyone to come and learn with me; whatever your current level, I’ll be very happy to help you gain more fluency in French. I’m very patient and will provide a cheerful and safe environment where you can talk without any stress or fear of being judged. I try to stick to French as much as possible during the lessons in order to build up your confidence about being able to navigate through your new language.
I believe in helping you master French as it is spoken/written by actual French-speaking people, not textbooks. This means adapting the material and language level to the situation. Indeed, we don’t usually speak in daily life the way a journalist does on the news. And we don’t write a formal report as we would an email to a friend. So knowing your goals and why you are learning French is essential.
A bientôt !

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to check my profile !
As a teacher, I’m very patient and caring. My goal is to provide you with a comfortable environment where we will turn any mistakes into a learning opportunity.
Lessons I teach :
1- Conversation classes
2- TEF Canada/ TCF Canada exam preparation classes : Speaking & Writing
3- French for beginners
In conversation classes, I’ll give you plenty of time to speak and I will provide you with detailed feedback that will help you get a better understanding of the use of French. I choose topics we can talk about during and plan lessons around them. However, you are very welcome to choose topics that fit your own interests.
For exam preparation classes, I will focus on improving your writing and speaking skills to help you reach the score you aim at. I have helped many students get the B2+ and more in TEF and TCF Canada exams.
As for beginners classes, we can use a manual or have informal classes.

Hello and welcome to my page!
My name is Célia, a native French teacher living abroad. I graduated with a master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language [teaching French to foreigners] in 2020 at the University of Paul-Valéry in Montpellier, and I became a certified DELF (A1–B2) corrector in 2022. I grew up in a small village near Montpellier, and I have lived in Northern Ireland, Germany, and Asia.
During my master’s degree, I learned how to create didactic units (lessons), design exams, and work with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). I have been teaching French both online and on-site—in international schools and at the Alliance Française : from A1 to C2 levels, to learners of all ages: children, teenagers, and adults. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, looking to build your skills, or just want to practice speaking, I’ll be happy to help!
In our first class, I’ll ask you why you want to learn French, what your goals and interests are, what your current level is, and if you want to focus on any particular aspect of the language. This first conversation during our trial lesson helps me get a better idea of your level so I can prepare a plan tailored to your needs. The materials I use are varied: listening exercises from media sources, text comprehension (books, articles, excerpts), grammar practice, and more. All resources are adapted to your level and objectives. Most materials are provided, and I also share a lesson summary and homework after each session (-^▽^-).
My teaching method is mainly based on communicative and action-oriented approaches. I aim to involve learners actively in their learning process and help them speak as much French as possible, in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere. I know learning a new language isn’t always easy—mistakes are part of the process! I’m here to guide you, support you, and help you gain confidence step by step.
I’m passionate about languages and culture, and I love exchanging with people from all over the world. I’m sure we’ll find plenty of interesting topics to talk about while building your French skills!
À bientôt!
See Reviews From StudentsIf you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching French in Hobart because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private French lessons in Hobart is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Hobart, there are many options for learning French. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with French tutors in Hobart if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a French tutor in Hobart, face-to-face.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever French tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 French lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
