Hello, and thank you for taking the time to check my profile !
As a teacher, I’m very patient and caring. My goal is to provide you with a comfortable environment where we will turn any mistakes into a learning opportunity.
Lessons I teach :
1- Conversation classes
2- TEF Canada/ TCF Canada exam preparation classes : Speaking & Writing
3- French for beginners
In conversation classes, I’ll give you plenty of time to speak and I will provide you with detailed feedback that will help you get a better understanding of the use of French. I choose topics we can talk about during and plan lessons around them. However, you are very welcome to choose topics that fit your own interests.
For exam preparation classes, I will focus on improving your writing and speaking skills to help you reach the score you aim at. I have helped many students get the B2+ and more in TEF and TCF Canada exams.
As for beginners classes, we can use a manual or have informal classes.

For me, learning is practicing, doing, imitating, and acting.
Speaking with a native French speaker is the easier way to get comfortable with the slang, intonation, and mannerisms.
I'm here to give you an awesome pronunciation, a fluid spoken, giving you more vocabulary and I’ll be really focusing on how to make you be more fluent and comfortable to speak this beautiful language.
My name is Léa, I am 28 years old and I am a French native, born and raised in the South of France, in Toulouse.
I also speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese and I've been teaching French for 3 years now.
So if you are ready to learn while having fun, send me a message, and let’s start!:)

I have been a French tutor since 2015. Alongside my French classes, I write and organize creative writing workshops. This French poetry workshop was born from a desire to unite my two passions: languages and writing.
When you don't yet have full command of a language, your relationship with words is different. You become more attuned to their pure musicality, and their meaning feels less fixed. Not mastering it perfectly actually frees you from the automatisms of your mother tongue, and you become truly capable of exploring words and language. French becomes a language that belongs to you, rather than one merely learned: a language felt and lived, beyond definitions and grammar.
Each workshop session begins with the reading and discussion of a poem, then we use creative prompts to write and play with the language. The entire workshop is conducted in French, but I am there to help with vocabulary or translations if needed.
Level: B1 to C2. Duration: 1h30. Individual classes or small groups of up to 6 people. The price shown on my profile is for group classes.
About me: Born in France, I moved to Argentina at the age of 18 and stayed there for 7 years, before settling in Spain. I love travelling, discovering new cultures, writing, and literature. My favourite authors are Octavio Paz, Aimé and Suzanne Césaire, Antonin Artaud, Juan Rulfo, Mónica Ojeda, and Alejandra Pizarnik.

Hello!
I've been teaching French for almost 15 years! I spent the first 10 years traveling the world teaching in schools and universities and the last 5 years teaching people from all around the world entirely online, and I love it! I am a passionate and caring teacher, each of my students is very special to me.
I like to teach in a casual way, so you feel comfortable and learn at your pace. My lessons are often based on friendly conversations and when we encounter a grammar or vocabulary issue, we do a mini lesson on the topic and if needed, we dedicate a full session to it. I can also tailor the lesson to any subject. I'm quite good at explaining French grammar (which can be tricky!) in simple and visual terms. With complete beginners, the lessons are more structured but my goal is for you to be able to have small conversations as soon as possible (sometimes in the 3rd or 4th lesson!).
I have a lot of experience with a lot of different people in different situations: adults, university students, teenagers, children, people with dyslexia or ADHD, people that never studied a foreign language before, people that immigrated (or wanted to immigrate) to France, people whose partner is French, people who just learned French for fun :)
My resources include a lot of content I created myself and many digital textbooks.
I'd love to meet you and know more about why you want to learn French, come do a trial with me! :)

Bonjour!
I come from Nancy in the north-east of France. I lived one year in Spain and I am living now in Dublin.
I studied Performing Art and film studies in France, Spain and in Ireland. I am passionate about travelling, discovering new cultures and art. I completed a diploma to teach French to foreigners (DAEFLE- Alliance Française de Paris) in 2023. I am also an examiner and corrector for the DELF-DALF exam.
I started teaching French part-time 6 years ago when I moved to Dublin. I used to help Irish teenagers to prepare their French exams (Leaving Cert - Junior Cert) and students at the University (preparing oral exams, proof-reading essays). I have been teaching French online since April 2020 and in person to adults and children in some languages school since February 2021.
I teach French to all levels (beginners to advanced) and all ages (kids, teenagers, adults). I can help you to improve your French skills (grammar, vocabulary, French culture, oral fluency) , to prepare your essays, oral presentation, job interview, Delf-Dalf exams … With children I usually use a power point to learn basics vocabulary and sentences, and make French games with them.
I am flexible to your needs, level and way of learning. I use videos and articles based on your interests and encourage practising conversation. I also often relate the lessons to French culture as film, music, news , literature ... I can provide grammar lessons and exercises.
À bientôt !

Bonjour !
My name is Stephanie and I am a native French speaker born and raised in France. I have been teaching French online since 2015 and I have students all over the world. I really take pleasure in doing it. I have lived in Canada for over 10 years and as a self-taught language learner, I easily understand the challenges you have to go through to learn a foreign language.
I focus my lessons on speaking and all my lessons are tailored to your level and needs.
For beginners, I use a textbook with small dialogues to learn the basics of conversation and through them I explain the vocabulary, grammar and conjugation.
For intermediate and advanced level, I can offer a French conversation lesson. During the conversation you will learn every-day expressions, enhance your fluidity and improve your listening and understanding level. Or we can focus half the lesson on conversation and half on grammar with textbook.
Coaching for job interviews, oral and writing presentations and exam FIDE (Switzerland)
With a background in human resources, I am good at listening and giving feedback. I can provide clarity, confidence and tailored lessons to help you progress in learning French. Patient and creative I like to teach in a fun way which is one of the keys to success.
During my spare time, I love hiking, painting and studying languages.
So let's meet and have fun learning French together!
À bientôt !

Bonjour !
My name is Marina. I have been a French teacher for five years. I taught in Ireland, England, Spain, and Ecuador, with students of all ages and levels, and in settings both informal and formal. I'm new to LanguaTalk but I've been teaching French online for a year as well.
I offer different forms of teaching, depending on your level and preferred learning methods. For example, a beginner who needs structure might benefit from lessons from a written method that mixes grammar, vocabulary, and listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises, while a more advanced student would prefer us to focus on conversation.
Don't hesitate to book a trial session with me so we can get to know each other!

Bonjour !
Me llamo Marina.
See Reviews From StudentsWhether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Lille, there are many options for learning French. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with French tutors in Lille if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a French tutor in Lille, face-to-face.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching French in Lille because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private French lessons in Lille is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 French lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever French tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
