Ciao! My name is Mauro, I am native Italian from Calabria! I studied International Relations at Bologna University, then I moved to Padua, for a PhD in History of Political Thought. I currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love running, Mozart, tango (I'm trying to improve my dancing abilities...), cook, and culture.

I am a very passionate teacher, I love to share my language and my knowledge about Italy, and its culture, films, music, literature, arts, food!!! I firmly believe that learning is based on trust between teacher and student, and the first objective of my classes is to individuate student's objectives and preferences.

My teaching methodology is integrated: I think that it is important to work on all of linguistic abilities: oral and writing comprehension and production. I also think that lessons must be as much as fun as possible, and I use a lot of authentic material: songs, films, cooking recipes, newspapers, advertising and so on...

With over a decade of experience, I've had the pleasure of teaching Italian to passionate learners from all around the world. My name is Giusy, I'm a native italian speaker. I've been learning multiple languages for many years now and it is something I am extremely passionate about, which means that I know how difficult it is to learn a language, especially if you are nervous or worried about making mistakes. My teaching style is informal and friendly, you will learn new vocabulary and improve your pronounciation while discussing our goals, hobbies and passions. My classes are personalized according to your needs, level of language, individual interests, and goals. During the classes, you will improve and learn new vocabulary and grammar. The classes are always different and we will use material such as songs, online videos, news, and literature text to help facilitate the conversation and your learning. My students are of different nationalities and backgrounds giving me the chance to keep on learning myself. Personally, I speak fluently French and a bit of German, while I am currently learning Swedish.

But they should!  Let me explain: everybody knows how to order in a restaurant or ask for directions but it’s when you step out of the safe path that your brain really starts to learn faster.

For one thing, you won't feel the pressure to look smart in front of your teacher. C'mon, they just asked you to speak Italian with a platypus, are you really worried about bad impressions? For another, you’ll have to work with your own resources to deal with a new situation. Which comes very handy when you speak with natives. (Natives always have this bad habit of saying a lot more things than what's in your handbook, and they never seem to ask you the questions you know how to answer...) So, why don't you give it a try? ;)

I'm certified to teach Italian language to foreigners and I've been teaching for 7 years non-stop, experimenting with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. I speak English, Spanish and French, I can translate Latin and I love history and philosophy. I use a communicative approach but I deem grammar essential, that's why I prefer to alternate exercises, reading and creative games. In my free time, I write, I watch movies and I practice sport. Ciao! My name is Silvana and I have been teaching Italian at all levels for over 10 years.  

Since I was a child, I have had a great passion for foreign languages and the different cultures of the world. This passion has helped me in my many travels and cultural interactions with people from all over the world.

I worked for many years in the tourism industry and I have many hobbies and interests. I like reading, art, cooking (Italian food, of course!), music, sports, cinema, trekking, holistic therapies and much more!  

I love my language and I love to teach it! I teach Italian to adults and children, from beginner to proficiency level, in a simple and engaging way. Every lesson is personalized, using different material (books, articles, videos, audios, games, etc.). My motto is: "learning Italian is fun!"

I have a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (specialising in American studies) at the University Institute "L'Orientale" in Naples and I hold a post-graduate Masters degree in "Didactic methodologies for teaching Italian to foreigners - Teaching Italian as a foreign language/second language".

 My lessons are engaging and never boring. I use different teaching materials for different levels and, in class,I cover all the different learning skills of a language (speaking, listening, writing and reading).

I find excercises and quiz games a very useful and practical way to memorize rules and vocabulary.
