My name is Giusy, I'm a native italian speaker. I've been learning multiple languages for many years now and it is something I am extremely passionate about, which means that I know how difficult it is to learn a language, especially if you are nervous or worried about making mistakes. My teaching style is informal and friendly, you will learn new vocabulary and improve your pronounciation while discussing our goals, hobbies and passions. I am very creative and curious, always excited about meeting new students and engage in interesting conversations. I believe teaching should be fun, stimulating and inspiring. My lessons are focused on vocabulary and spoken fluency but we'll practise the four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I apply to the lessons a variety of methods and activities such as role plays, projects, games. With me, you can improve your conversational Italian. I have more than 6 years of experience tutoring students with different levels of Italian. Some of them were beginners when they started and they managed to reach a good level of Italian after a few months. I also helped more experienced students with their university exams or thesis. So, even if my classes here focus more on spoken Italian when there is a need, we can improve your written and academic Italian. 

My classes are personalized according to your needs, level of language, individual interests, and goals. During the classes, you will improve and learn new vocabulary and grammar. The classes are always different and we will use material such as songs, online videos, news, and literature text to help facilitate the conversation and your learning. It would be nice to have a cultural exchange so you can get to learn more about Italian Culture, its History, and its traditions. My students are of different nationalities and backgrounds giving me the chance to keep on learning myself. Personally, I speak fluently French and a bit of German, while I am currently learning Swedish.

I currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love running, Mozart, tango (I'm trying to improve my dancing abilities...), cook, and culture.

I am a very passionate teacher, I love to share my language and my knowledge about Italy, and its culture, films, music, literature, arts, food!!! I firmly believe that learning is based on trust between teacher and student, and the first objective of my classes is to individuate student's objectives and preferences.

My teaching methodology is integrated: I think that it is important to work on all of linguistic abilities: oral and writing comprehension and production. I also think that lessons must be as much as fun as possible, and I use a lot of authentic material: songs, films, cooking recipes, newspapers, advertising and so on...

Ciao! I like to think that every student of mine was a challenge in a peculiar way. I have worked with European students abroad, retired professionals, University students in Asia, company employees and teenagers: every time I have found the best way to have fun both, taking advantage of any opportunity to understand  my language and my culture! 

I'm currently working as an online tutor with beginners, mainly from English speaking countries, who are generally not familiar with the language learning process. I usually help them to get some confidence in facing basic conversations as tourists in the country. I like to engage a fun conversation about different topics like my country's culture, Italian modern literature, art and cinema history due to my solid background in these disciplines. I am also a very curious person, keen to explore new topics, so much that I had eventually supported my students'interests through language practice (for example: reading Italian sport magazines together or watching videos about Italian cuisine).

I'm ready to bet a Spritz no teacher has ever asked you that!  Or anybody else ever, for all that matters. But they should!  Let me explain: everybody knows how to order in a restaurant or ask for directions but it’s when you step out of the safe path that your brain really starts to learn faster.

For one thing, you won't feel the pressure to look smart in front of your teacher. C'mon, they just asked you to speak Italian with a platypus, are you really worried about bad impressions? For another, you’ll have to work with your own resources to deal with a new situation. Which comes very handy when you speak with natives. (Natives always have this bad habit of saying a lot more things than what's in your handbook, and they never seem to ask you the questions you know how to answer...) So, why don't you give it a try? ;)

My name is Marzia and I am a native Italian language teacher! Are you interested in learning Italian to travel to Italy, to learn more about the Italian culture, or to connect with your Italian roots?  Whatever your reason, I’d be happy to help you!  

I have been teaching online for more than five years and I am passionate about sharing my love for my language with my students.  I teach students of all ages and levels. 

Lessons are based on the needs of my students. Some students prefer the traditional grammar approach, while others want to focus on conversation from the very first lesson.  Regardless, my approach is communicative to enable my students to comfortably and confidently speak Italian since I believe that the purpose of a language is communication!
