Passionate about languages and intercultural exchanges, I have taught English and Spanish as foreign languages for over 15 years in Puerto Rico, France, and online.  I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students from various backgrounds, integrating multicultural teaching resources to diversify learning styles.  I happen to believe that there is not one and only way of teaching or learning a foreign language.  Therefore, I adapt my lessons and methods to the students’ objectives, needs and interests.  My goal is always to offer an open, honest, communicative and supportive environment in which every student can feel motivated and appropriately challenged. 

¡Hola! My name is María and I'm from Mexico. 

I have 3 years of teaching experience. I majored in Languages from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and I obtained a certification to teach Spanish as a foreign language. My classes use a blended methodology that incorporates grammar and communication activities in a laid-back and dynamic way. I have hand picked or created all the materials according to the needs of my students and I often use resources like audios, videos and games to make the lesson more interactive. My main goal is to help my students feel comfortable expressing themselves and learn at their own pace.

My favorite part of language teaching is getting to know the cultures and interests of my students. I'd be happy to work on a plan that fits your needs. You don't need any previous experience learning Spanish or a foreign language. Since I am also a doctoral student I only have a limited number of hours. However, I have a flexible schedule and if you don’t see a time that works for you we can discuss an alternative during the trial lesson.

Hello, my name is Diana. I am a graduated university language teacher and ELE - certified. I've got more than 7 years teaching languages. I taught Spanish for children and teenagers in the USA for 2 years. I've got a lot experience teaching English and Spanish online. I was a Spanish teacher volunteer in Peru during my university studies, but more than the degree I am enthusiastic, responsible and empathetic person. My name is Lorena. I am from Barcelona, I have lived in UK and Japan and now I live in Asturias, in the north of Spain. I love cats, travelling, getting to know people from all over the world and, of course, languages. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Japanese and a little bit of French. I have been teaching for more than 20 years and I have 13 years of experience as an online teacher. I love technology, it helps teachers to adapt our classes to students with different learning styles and it makes it easier to provide an immersion experience as well. ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom settings (more than 3000 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. My focus is to make you speak NATURAL and EVERYDAY Spanish, and understand Spanish speakers thanks to a system and a 30' routine.

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS: 

🎥Action programme (B1-B2 LEVEL): we'll learn Spanish language and culture together thanks to the famous series called "AQUÍ NO HAY QUIEN VIVA". If you're an intermediate student this programme will specifically enhance your listening skills and will improve your performance in everyday situations so that you can connect effectively with locals.

📚Flipped classroom programme (A1-B2LEVEL): You'll be learning everyday language and culture during these sessions by affordable mini tasks that you can do in 30' a day. The programme will especially boost your speaking skills for everyday situations in an organized, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. 

📚🎥Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons.

EXTRA:

⭐I give mini lessons on my social networks.

I offer conversation practice and structured courses, from absolute beginner to C1, grammar drills and homework if you wish. Wide experience with adults and senior students. I will provide you with notes and examples from our lessons, during the lesson in Google Docs, or after the lesson, via e-mail. You don't need to decide in advance if you prefer Latin American Spanish or European Spanish, I can teach you the main differences and help you decide. 

In our first lesson or trial we will figure out how your learning plan will be, depending on your individual needs, learning style and goals. If it's your first online lesson, there's no need to stress, I'm very understanding and patient.
