I’m a native Spanish teacher from Ruzafa, Valencia (Spain), certified by Universidad de Nebrija. I'm teaching and improving my students skills since 2014. I can teach from conversation lessons to preparation for DELE certificates (from A1 to C2). I have experience in online and face to face lessons: my method is based on conversation (acquiring fluency) and expanding, in a practical way, your grammatical knowledge and vocabulary to improve. Hey there! I'm Alexa, a native Spanish speaker originally from Venezuela but now residing in Mexico for the past 8 years.

I'm really into learning languages because it's super exciting! It opens up new doors and brings about some awesome experiences. Currently, I'm immersing myself in the world of Chinese and Portuguese. I believe the whole point of learning a new language is to connect with people, understand their culture, and dive into cool new experiences.

My teaching style is all about keeping it fun and practical. We'll jump into real-life situations, chat about interesting stuff, share stories, and pick up everyday phrases, verbs, and vocab—the language of everyday life, you know?

I have specialised in teaching Spanish to English speakers, but I have also taught international students in Thailand, Granada (Spain) and, of course, online.

I prefer to teach grammar with  examples because they contain chunks of grammar that we will later encounter in other phrases and grammar constructions. You will create your examples and incorporate the grammar rules. We will learn grammar from real-life scenarios where people communicate naturally their thoughts, following a communicative learning approach. We will also work on Google Sheets, which you will always have access to and where we can work on and save all of our learning sessions.

I will send you homework regularly just so you can work on your Spanish in between every session that we have. 

I encourage you to focus on the process rather than the outcome. IIf we trust the process, we make progress! Falling in love with the journey of language acquisition is the most rewarding path by far.
