I consider myself to be a very patience, disciplined, kind and creative person.

I am passionate about history, pastries, literature, linguistics, animals ( 100% dog lover! 🐕) and, of course, languages. So if you are interested in any of those topics we’ll make a good match :]

And if you don’t, that’s ok! I find very nourishing learning about topics outside my comfort zone.

I speak Spanish since i am a native speaker from Peru, with a neutral accent. I do speak English fluently, German and a bit of Japanese also.

✨ Methodology

I use a methodology based on research and methods proven by psychologists and teachers. My classes are ALWAYS prepared and structured to meet your needs. The methodologies i use are:

1️⃣ TPRS  (Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling) and comprehensible input -> For learning grammar and vocabulary in a engaging, stress-free way!

2️⃣ Breaking down your favorite songs, stories and articles -> To practice reading, vocab and pronunciation!

3️⃣ Direct method (speaking only in Spanish for intermediate or advanced students) -> To strengthen your speaking and listening abilities

ALSO, i always explain grammar step by step and provide flashcards to remember vocabulary (based on the science proved method “Spaced repetition”).

I provide each of my students a personalized plan and homework based on their goals, needs and way of learning.

Graduated in Hispanic Philology and Masters in Applied French, I have always kept up with my teaching training and have also completed a CELTA course for English teachers. This further training has provided me with the familiarity to different teaching methodologies, which have proven to be extremely useful in my classes.

I have worked as a Spanish teacher for 13 years, both in-person and online. My job duties typically include designing and delivering Spanish courses for all levels. Also a 13 year-experienced translator. I have recently worked on a project which involved developping Spanish lessons and units to be delivered online, so I am used to creating content of my own.

My teaching method is mostly conversational and based on a combination of skills. I use plenty of audiovisuals and various activities to get students to speak. My constant interest in professional training has allowed me to become familiar with techniques and tools that are essential in today´s second language learning.

My lessons are all similarly structured: a grammar point, a few exercises to get started, then controlled practice, and finally an audio or a video related to the topic.

Hello everyone! I do not teach A1 A2 levels. I am Itziar and I am a Spanish teacher. I am currently living in Spain but I lived in different countries in the past. I am a native speaker with a neutral Spanish accent. My pronunciation is clear and easy to understand. I love teaching Spanish to international students and I am happy to see them making progress  learning the language. I have four years of experience teaching Spanish to students from all over the world.

My teaching experience has been gained in schools, universities, and small online groups of individuals. Additionally, I am also an examiner of the official exams of the Cervantes Institute. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and learning about different cultures.

I use ELE Actual Spanish books as a guide, but it is not necessary for students to buy them as all materials are included in the price of my lessons. My name is Esther and I am a Spanish teacher from Spain. I have lived in Japan for two years and in South Korea for 6 years, so I have a wide multicultural experience. I speak English, Korean and a bit of Japanese. I love languages and cultures inspire me. I want to work in helping people all around the world understanding each other.

Regarding my studies, I am a Spanish philology graduated, DELE accredited examiner from level A1 to level C2 by Instituto Cervantes and I have a master’s degree in Spanish Teaching as a Foreigner Language. I have been teaching in person and online for more than 10 years in language exchange events, schools, as a tutor and as a DELE instructor.

As a Spanish teacher, I am very patient and give you time to express by yourself. I don’t only focus on the correction of the grammar or pronunciation, but also give a lot of importance to the ability to communicate ideas and navigate through specific cultural situations.

Passionate about languages and intercultural exchanges, I have taught English and Spanish as foreign languages for over 15 years in Puerto Rico, France, and online.  I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students from various backgrounds, integrating multicultural teaching resources to diversify learning styles.  I happen to believe that there is not one and only way of teaching or learning a foreign language.  Therefore, I adapt my lessons and methods to the students’ objectives, needs and interests.  My goal is always to offer an open, honest, communicative and supportive environment in which every student can feel motivated and appropriately challenged. 

Our lessons for beginner follow a sequential program, each building on the last for optimal learning. By the end, you'll:

• Develop a natural and clear Spanish pronunciation.
• Gain insights into cultural nuances.
• Discover your unique learning style and effective strategies to advance your Spanish.

Periodic written and spoken assessments will ensure we stay on course. 

I will create flashcards for you to review the notes of each lesson and provide detailed homework to ensure you use your time effectively outside our lessons too!
