According to your level (starter or advanced), I adapt my method as following:

Starters : I use a particular book that helps you to work on all the aspects of the language at the same time (phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, reading) and helps structuring the courses

Advanced : I practice conversation with you about more or less complex subjects to increase your vocabulary and to correct the remaining imperfections

Of course, I always adapt my method to your individual situation

About me : I was born in Switzerland. My mother tongue is French, which I always speak with my relatives and my friends. I also speak Italian as I grew up in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland (Ticino) and I still live there

I also speak English, a bit of Serbian and Russian

I've been teaching French online since 2016, previously having worked developing the skills of young people, adults and foreigners of all levels.

In my opinion, a teacher’s enthusiasm, patience, humour and understanding of their students’ needs are key to help a student learn efficiently, and for the student to enjoy lessons which is important for learning,

I adapt my teaching to your needs which will naturally vary according to your personnel situation, from beginner to advanced level, as a teenager at school or student, or as a mature learner. Choosing topics which interest you is very important.

Your needs may vary such as:

- learning the French language, discovering French culture, history or current affairs.

- seeking conversational French to keep up your level. If you have an intermediate level or above, we can speak about any topic that interests you.

- wanting to improve or refresh your French before visiting France or working in a French speaking country. De

- wishing to improve your French for professional use.

- looking to pass French proficiency exams such as DELF (A2 to B2) and DALF (C1 to C2).

Teaching method:

I use a variety of tools and aids such as books for grammar and vocabulary, specific books for exams such as DELF, press articles, podcasts and literature.

We start with a small test to establish your level and then progress to discussion, reading and writing exercices. I can send you material according to your needs.

About me:

My interests include travel especially in Europe. I spend my time between Provence and Northern Ireland ; nature, animals, and the environment. I loved horse riding ; sustainability ; history, architecture and philosophy ; geopolitics ; food and especially French and Asian food.

Hello Everyone, 

Languages are a passion of mine, I am currently working on language 5 and 6. Because I've been learning other languages  I am very familiar with the difficulties my students can have and which methods are efficient. 

My first objective is for my student to develop the skills to speak and understand French so that they can be independant consulting French content at home. My classes are very relaxed and I try to have a good time while I teach. My classes are tailored to each student's level. 

• For beginners: we work on the elements of the sentence, conjugating verbs, prononciation exercises, we read basic text and we start writing and speaking in French. we also introduce the idea of daily practice.
• For intermediates we work on more advanced grammatical concepts and conjugating with more tenses, we work with audio and written format (about 50/50 technique and practice)
• For advanced students we usually do more conversation based exercises, prior to the class I'll send a podcast, documentary, youtube video, movie extracts and more and the student have to express their thoughts, their critic or commentary on the topic, on my hand I will ask questions to keep the conversation going. We can also do interview prep, review of essays written in French etc.

 I also do give a little bit of homework.

Hi all! My name is Miriam, I speak four languages and I have been teaching French online for 3 years. My mother tongue is Arabic and I started learning French since I was 3 years old. I started learning English in elementary school and had Spanish classes for two years at university. I also speak Italian as I currently live in Italy.

Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in São Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil. 
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish.  I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries.After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing.
