Ciao! My name is Federica and I am a teacher from Florence, a city of arts, the cradle of Renaissance and the Italian language. I have 9 years of experience in sharing our beautiful language and culture with students from all over the world!

I am a teacher but also a traveler and a language learner. I have lived and traveled in many countries and speak English, Russian, French, Spanish, and a bit of Hindy and Swahili. I have a background in classical studies, a University degree in education and later I specialized in teaching Italian as a foreign language My lessons are professionally structured.

The format of the lessons and the learning content that I will provide is individually tailored to the student’s language level and learning needs. During the class I will share a Google Doc that we will use as an interactive whiteboard, there I will paste screenshots of different activities, extracted from modern textbooks or edited by me. Hi! My name is Martina, I’m Italian and I live in Rome.

I’m graduated in Foreign Languages and I have a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation.

I can speak English and Spanish at a good level and I also speak a little bit of French.

As you can see from my background, I’m a big fan of languages, so I fully understand how difficult it is to learn a new language. But I’m here to help you!

In Rome I teach Italian as a foreign language to young adults coming from all over Europe, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. So, my classes depend a lot on the level of the student.

At beginner level I focus mainly on the basic aspects of communication, using readings, songs and videos,with more emphasis on grammar.

At advanced levels the classes are more informal, based on conversations regarding different topics that we can choose together.

Ciao! I like to think that every student of mine was a challenge in a peculiar way. I have worked with European students abroad, retired professionals, University students in Asia, company employees and teenagers: every time I have found the best way to have fun both, taking advantage of any opportunity to understand  my language and my culture! 

I'm currently working as an online tutor with beginners, mainly from English speaking countries, who are generally not familiar with the language learning process. I usually help them to get some confidence in facing basic conversations as tourists in the country. I like to engage a fun conversation about different topics like my country's culture, Italian modern literature, art and cinema history due to my solid background in these disciplines. I am also a very curious person, keen to explore new topics, so much that I had eventually supported my students'interests through language practice (for example: reading Italian sport magazines together or watching videos about Italian cuisine).

Hi everyone, I am Anna and I am a professional Italian teacher for foreigners. I come from Venice where I live and work. I can help you in the study of modern Italian as it is really spoken nowadays. I am a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. I completed the ITALS Master's degree for teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners. My field of specialization and current research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to better understand what happens in our brains and minds when we study a foreign language and what emotions are involved. I specialize in teaching adults and seniors and am currently studying in a Psychology course at Yale University. I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian culture abroad. I have been teaching Italian and English since 2004. I graduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation in Milan in 2013 and afterwards I achieved the Master Itals aimed at teaching the Italian language and culture to foreigners.

If you're just starting and you don't know many Italian words, don't worry! In the beginning, we can speak English. Later, we are going to speak only in Italian!
