Hi, I’m Jocelyn. I’m an Architecture student from Bristol, and I go to Cardiff University. I was previously volunteering as an English teacher at a Bilingual Academy, on my year out living abroad in Seville, and I also completed an Architecture Internship when I was there. For the last two years, I’ve been tutoring students of all ages. These have ranged from pupils preparing for curriculum exams, to learning English as their second language.

I have always made sure to be sympathetic to students' situations, and am flexible with lesson lengths and times. I make every effort to accommodate your needs and targets as a student, to ensure we approach the lesson in a way that works best for you. My aim is to facilitate your learning development with interactive lessons that you can fit into your schedule, without making you feel overloaded.

Having a family background in education has inspired me to gain my TEFL qualification, which has given me the knowledge to be able to teach a range of lessons within the subject of English. These include: Business English for a workplace setting, conversational English, grammar and preparing for curriculum exams, to name just a few.

During lessons, lots of speaking is key, as I thrive on being able to build a good relationship with my students. I’m young and enthusiastic, and always welcome questions. Hi, everyone! I'm Marissa. I've been teaching English my entire professional life, since obtaining my certification (CELTA) in 2011. I'm a native speaker of English from the U.S. who has taught both online and at schools/companies around the world.

In our lessons, I will provide you with materials to match your level and goals. We can follow a structured curriculum, focus on a particular topic or skill, discuss an article, or practice for an upcoming presentation/interview-- it's up to you. I take a communicative approach and prioritize your speaking time while correcting your mistakes and offering useful grammar structures and vocabulary.

I've had my degree in emergency medical care for an amazing 16 years, and I find teaching this topic to be very fulfilling. I started my journey as an English teacher for a non-profit organization about ten years ago. I worked hard to obtain my TEFL certificate in order to improve my teaching abilities.

Hi, I am Harriet, a native English speaker and qualified teacher with over 20 years teaching experience.

The lessons are structured around you as an individual and start with finding out what you want to learn or improve and why. We will then agree a plan of interesting and challenging activities to help you meet your goals. I teach general conversation skills, including increasing confidence and learning new vocabulary, and Business English. I have helped many students successfully prepare for job interviews or to take on new roles. I can also help you prepare for language tests and focus on pronunciation.

The lessons will be lively and varied, using a range of methods, materials and contexts. We will regularly review your progress and goals and I will suggest activities outside of class to help you practice what you have learnt. I am experienced in teaching beginners to advanced level students from teenagers to adults. I have Masters degrees in Creative Writing and Psychology and so am able to use and teach both creative and academic language skills. 

 I live in Hove in southeast England and also spend a lot of time in Lisbon, Portugal. I am trying to learn Portuguese and finding it challenging but fun.  I love meeting new people and finding out about them and what motivates them. I enjoy reading, eating out, drinking coffee, walking, exploring new places, TV and movies and talking to people. I look forward to meeting you and taking our first lesson together!

I was born and raised in the United States, then moved to Central America for a few years as an adult. Now I am back in the United States.
