I specialize in the exam preparation for the Goethe Zertifikat or equivalent and have considerable experience with professionals, embassy staff and medical students. I am a German native speaker from Austria who loves languages and am passionate about teaching others. I work as language teacher in a school, teach adults at the German Culture Center and prepare my students for all types of official language exams. Hi! I am Larissa, I am originally from Frankfurt, Germany. Right now, I am living in Baja California, Mexico. Since 2019, I've been teaching German as a foreign language via video chat and in face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world, from various age groups and have different skill levels. Depending on your skill level and requirements, we might start at the very beginning, dig into some grammar, do listening, reading and/or conversational exercises. I can also help you with different exam preparations or getting you ready to travel/move to a German speaking country. I like to work with free online sources, but am also happy to work with any material that my students bring to class. It is important to me to create a friendly and judge free atmosphere for my students where they feel comfortable just speaking and asking questions.

Hi, my name is Sina and I am a native German speaker who is passionate about talking and teaching this language with people from different cultures all over the world! I am currently based in Kampala, Uganda, working in the creative arts sector as projects manager.

My experiences teaching German language go back to 2015, during my master studies, when I gave intense lessons to refugees helping them to reach basic vocabulary and grammar for everyday conversations using self-compiled material.

When moving to Uganda in 2019, I gave regular tutoring classes to German students' level A1, A2 and B1 at Goethe-Zentrum Kampala for six months.  I got insights into the language structures of the Goethe Insitut-system including exam preparation collecting professional teaching material.

To get students engaged with German language I usually work with interactive methods. We start with a comprehensive introduction to the respective topic through work sheets, powerpoint or visuals. Then we apply what has been learned through playful games, conversation exercises or gap texts. My methodology is: First process, then apply! Teaching one-to-one means I am all there for you, you decide which topic you want to work on, which challenges you want to master and how often we should repeat a lesson.

Are you looking for someone to simply talk to and practice German? My teaching style is engaging, patient and creative. I am practiced in teaching teenagers (16 and older) and adults. I have lived in the United States for 7 years. Therefore, I am experienced with different language environments and the challenges of studying another language.

My focus lies mainly on conversation. I help you to form sentences and to learn new words from all kinds of interesting topics. In so doing, I help you to become confident in German. Having fun while learning a new language is one important pillar to my experience. I give my best to create an atmosphere that helps you to engage in conversations with me and with others. I am a qualified native German teacher (PGCE) from a town near Dortmund and I have been teaching German as a foreign language for over 30 years in a Grammar school setting in Northern Ireland. I have experience in the following: -

My teaching is as varied as my students are. I often use the online version of the textbook recommended  by the Goethe Institute "Berliner Platz" A1, A2 and B1 level. I adapt my learning style to suit individual needs should you prefer conversational German or a more grammar focused lesson. I make the lesson enjoyable by including up to date teaching materials and refer to websites that will give the learner an insight into German culture as well, whenever possible, play quizzes such as Kahoot.

Hi! I'm Tabea. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and I grew up in Spain, so I am bilingual in German and Spanish.

I started working as a German tutor in 2017, while I was still travelling a lot between Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK. I soon found out that I really enjoyed online teaching, since I had the chance to meet people from all over the world. I love learning things about other cultures and languages, as well as improving my teaching skills.

My lessons are quite flexible: I believe there is not only one method for learning a language. Students can be very different and even one person won't feel the same way every day. my name is Florentin, I've been teaching German for the last 10 years, working both with groups and 1-on-1.

Maybe the most important aspect for me is the atmosphere in which you can be at ease and speak freely without any fear of making mistakes. Mistakes are not only a part of the process, but have to be made and will help your understanding. Our class is a safe space where you can express yourself exactly as you do now and ask all the questions you may have.

In a session we might converse while refining your German language skills, go over your texts together, rehearse an exam and get you ready for a German language certificate test or job interview, take a clarifying look into any specific topic you feel confused about etc.

More about me:
I initially started teaching German after a one-year journey through South America which I undertook after graduating from university. During these travels I learned Spanish and subsequently got the task of offering tuition to students at university who were struggling with reading academic texts in German. Thereafter I started teaching all German levels to different groups at university and also to students individually and have been doing so for over 10 years now, in-person and online. I've also been leading translation groups and lecturing on other language topics like language philosophy. 
Living and teaching German in other countries for several years gave me deeper insight both into learning languages and into my own mother tongue and during that time I naturally adopted the role of a bridge between cultures and languages. 

I speak English and Spanish fluently and one of these languages could serve as additional support for our work together in case we share it :)

My name is Christine. I’m half German, half Belgian, and I have lived in Mexico for 19 years. I have been a teacher for 16 years and I have taught different subjects and languages, such as English, German, Spanish, world history, and geography.  My teaching approach depends on the student's level and interests. That being said, I believe that conversation is an important part of learning a language, and so I often focus on conversation or question-answer sessions in my classes. I love teaching and I always aim to make classes interesting.

I currently use the Netzwerk textbook and workbook by Klett (for A1 level), but I am open to working with other books as well. 

My Spanish level is excellent. I speak Latin American Spanish, but I know the grammar for Spanish from both Spain and Latin America.

After completing my Bachelors degree for teaching in 2015, I started teaching German, but also English and French.
