Hi there!

I’d be happy to support you in reaching your goals! Here’s what I offer:

• individual lesson plan tailored to your interests and goals
• structured lessons with focus on applied language
• classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced students of all ages and nationalities
• working on specific vocabulary, grammatical issues and pronunciation with as few accents as possible
• exercises from online resources and textbooks specifically for different levels of language
• fun and challenging lessons

I'm an experienced German teacher from Berlin who speaks German, English and Spanish fluently.

My first teaching experience was 2015 in Perú, where I started to teach German as a foreign language to children in a social project. Since then I worked for many different kinds of language schools in Germany and Barcelona, but since 2020 I’m exclusively teaching online.

By now, I have 10+ years of experience teaching German to students of different ages and levels from all over the world. I also teach Spanish and love it.

Looking forward to meeting you!

I am a German native speaker from Austria who loves languages and am passionate about teaching others. I work as language teacher in a school, teach adults at the German Culture Center and prepare my students for all types of official language exams. I love my job and always seek to make it as much fun as possible.

I am adapting my way of teaching to the needs and the personality of my students. We can build up your vocabulary and speaking capacities, work on your written expression or on your general understanding. You want a conversation class to practice the language or build up your knowledge in Grammar? Or perhaps you have a language exam to pass. Or is it perhaps your child that wants to learn a language while playing? You want to improve your German while learning more about the German speaking countries? You need someone who is motivating you to keep up our learning journey?

I have experience in teaching people from very different cultural background, different ages and different levels. I would love to get to know you during our trial lesson, so that we can come up with a tailored plan for you.

We can discuss travel, politics, the cities we live in, art, culture, the news, your job, your dreams and goals - anything :) I will adjust to your level (B1 and up) so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Language learning should be fun!

Corrections and suggestions will be provided in the chat box. (this is not a grammar class though so explanations will be kept brief to focus on the conversation and improving fluency.

Given my background as a Communications Director at a global company I'm also happy to include business topics if that's of interest to you.

My classes are NOT for beginners. As it is a conversation class, you must be able to hold at least a basic conversation (A2 level or higher)

I look forward to talking with you! :)

Hi, I'm Your new German teacher. Born and raised in Switzerland but now living in Peru. I'm an artist, graphic designer and much more. I speak fluent English, Spanish and good French. I love to teach online because it allows me both to get to know new people from all over the world but also to take good care of my family. I always try to improve my teaching methods and to help my students find the best materials for them to keep studying for themselves. Besides teaching grammar and vocabulary I also like to use videos, audio-recordings, and a virtual whiteboard. You'll not only learn the language but also some cultural aspects. And last but not least you'll enjoy spending your time having some fun! See You soon in my class ;)

Do you want to learn how to communicate in German acccurately and with confidence, but without a lot of boring grammar exercises?

Or do you just want to talk, but constantly feel stressed when having a free conversation?

Or do you already speak German well and wonder how you can improve further?

Then I’m here to guide you on your way to success!

“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” (Confucius)

Understanding and mastering are two completely different things. Therefore, it is not my goal to explain a lot, but to make you USE grammar structures and new words in a systematic way.

What to expect

• Lessons tailored to your personal needs in a relaxed learning atmosphere
• You will speak a lot.
• You will receive feedback, corrections and examples in google docs.
• You will practice grammar and new words systematically in a natural conversation.
• You will also have the option to train reading, writing and listening as well as doing homework.
• You will be encouraged to say things in different ways in order to broaden your vocabulary.
• You will focus on practice, not on theory.
• You will have the possibility to work with interactive software – for students who take at least 1 – 2 lessons a week and want to do homework.

I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Hello, my name is Luca-Curtis, I am 29 years old and live in changing countries in Asia.

Until recently, I was employed as a teacher at a school for two years, teaching German as a foreign and second language and physical education from 5th to 10th grade. I spent one year alone in Asia- and one year in Africa, gaining experience in teaching there. I was teaching at the time as part of volunteer work and also privately.

If someone were to describe me, they would say that I am funny, professional, patient and attentive.

I love to travel, be at festivals and do sports (all sports).

I am certified by the Goehte Institute and have over 5 years of experience in teaching German as a foreign and second language.

I taught children and teenagers from 10 - 18 years old for two years.

Adults of all ages, backgrounds and religions.

Trial lesson:

We discuss your language goals and I explain how you can achieve them.

Of course, we also get to know each other a little and see if the chemistry between us fits.

I will also recommend a book that we will work with in the following lessons. If you already have a book, it would be no problem to use this one (if you have been happy with it so far).

The lessons:

Of course, this depends on your objective and cannot be generalized here.

In general, you will talk a lot and I will correct you. Orally and in writing. We will keep a record of all corrections in GoogleDocs, which will also be available to you after our lessons, so that you can always refer back to it.

My goal is to help you and achieve your personal goal together with you. Feel free to write me if you have a question and are unsure if I can help you with it.

I look forward to hearing from you and if you decide against a trial lesson, I still wish you much success in learning the German language! :)

Would you like to learn German with personalized lessons according to your needs and interests? Then I'm the right teacher for you!  In my German lessons you will not only learn the correct pronunciation and grammar but also a lot of useful facts and details about the German culture and way of living. This will help you if you are already living in a German-speaking country or plan to move there. I can also help you with exam preparation, such as Goethe-Test, Telc, or TestDaF.

In our German lessons you will find a safe space to practice speaking, make mistakes, get feedback, and little by little get more confident. Together we will create a tailored program designed to practice the specific situations where you will need to use German. We will use role plays, audios, videos, and a lot of different materials in order to improve your speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. Every student has a different learning pace and different needs and interests. In the trial lesson I will find out what your goals are and with that information I will be able to adapt my German lessons so that you will learn German and enjoy doing it!

Since I have a Zoom Business account, you won't need to reconnect to the meeting during our  lessons (55 minutes).

Some facts about me: I was born in Spain and raised in Germany, so Spanish and German are my native languages, but I also speak English (C1 level), French (B2 level), and a little bit of Portuguese. Over the last 30 years I have taught languages (English, German, and Spanish) to children and adults of all ages and levels. I've helped several students to pass different language exams.

I love languages and that reflects in my teaching! Don't hesitate and book a trial lesson with me.

See you soon,

Carmen

Learning German can feel daunting, especially if you’re preparing for an exam, relocating to Germany or Switzerland, or working towards citizenship or a residence permit.

I’m a native German speaker and qualified coach with over 20 years of teaching experience. After living in the UK for 27 years before returning to Germany, I know first-hand what it’s like to move country, adapt to a different culture and build a new life.

Many of my students are preparing for language exams needed for citizenship, residence permits, work opportunities or relocation. Others simply want to feel more confident speaking German in everyday life.

All of my students who have worked towards German certification with me have successfully passed their exams, from A1 to C1.

I create personalised lessons tailored to your goals, learning style and pace. I’m known for making German grammar easier to understand and for creating a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.

As a qualified coach, I naturally weave coaching techniques into my teaching whenever they’re helpful. Together we’ll not only improve your German, but also overcome the barriers that often get in the way of making progress.

I have experience supporting neurodivergent learners and believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to language learning.

I'd love to help you achieve your German goals.

Hi! I am Larissa, I am originally from Frankfurt, Germany. Right now, I am living in Baja California, Mexico. Since 2019, I've been teaching German as a foreign language via video chat and in face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world, from various age groups and have different skill levels. Depending on your skill level and requirements, we might start at the very beginning, dig into some grammar, do listening, reading and/or conversational exercises. I can also help you with different exam preparations or getting you ready to travel/move to a German speaking country. I like to work with free online sources, but am also happy to work with any material that my students bring to class. It is important to me to create a friendly and judge free atmosphere for my students where they feel comfortable just speaking and asking questions.

I am very passionate about traveling, exploring other countries and learning languages. Teaching is a great way for me to meet people from all over the world and learning about their cultures as well.

Looking for a friendly partner to practice your German? I offer engaging and patient lessons tailored for adults and teens (16+). Since I lived in the U.S. for seven years, I know firsthand how challenging—and rewarding—learning a new language can be!

I focus mainly on conversational skills. Together, we’ll explore interesting topics, build your vocabulary, and help you feel truly confident speaking German. For me, enjoyment is a huge part of the process, so I make sure our sessions are always lively and encouraging. I also use personalized worksheets to keep our conversations on track.

Every student is unique. Whether you’re prepping for a career move or just learning for a hobby, I’ll customize our lessons to fit your needs.

See you soon :-)

Hi! I'm Tabea. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and I grew up in Galicia, Spain.

I started working as a German tutor in 2017, while I was still travelling a lot between Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK. I soon found out that I really enjoyed online teaching, since I had the chance to meet people from all over the world. I love learning things about other cultures and languages, as well as improving my teaching skills.

My lessons are quite flexible: I believe there is not only one method for learning a language. Students can be very different and even one person won't feel the same way every day. Therefore, I take care to adapt each lesson to my students' needs. Do you feel you need a little help in conversation? Let's pick different topics and practise your speaking/listening abilities. Or are you stuck with grammar? Let's sit down and answer all your questions step by step.

German is a very rich language and sometimes it can be challenging, so there might be ups and downs on the road. But the harder you push yourself, the more rewarding it will be when you reach your goals!

If you are interested in taking German lessons, I'd love to meet you for a trial session!

Teaching Approach

There are many ways to teach a lesson. I'm a lover of a varied approach whenever applicable. I can honestly say that I will always do my very best to find suitable methods in order to facilitate comprehension and learning.

Over the course of a lesson, I might use audio files, videos, transcripts, books, worksheets or custom-tailored exercises that I feel are best suited for that particular student. Likewise, I will also train conversation - practical or otherwise.

I highly value being kind, patient, modest and encouraging. I always strive to create an environment that fosters a positive feeling. An inviting atmosphere is essential for learning anything at all. I welcome mistakes students make because it's normal to do so, plus that is one of the best ways to learn something properly.

My ultimate goal for you, as my student, is to enjoy yourself while learning and progressing!

Students are different, and all have their own individual needs and expectations. I see myself as someone who is guiding them along their chosen path. Occasionally prompting them to discover (the beauty of) a concept here and there they might have overlooked otherwise. Helping them to develop long-term strategies that will make them feel accomplished and self-assured.

Qualifications & Experience

I've studied at a German university. I've worked as a full time teacher in German trade schools for many years. I've easily taught more than 4,500 lessons over the years. I taught students from all walks of life, with their ages ranging from fifteen to forty-five years.

About me

Teaching, in general, has always been something that I deeply admire. To be able to help others comprehend a concept, and to contribute to their learning progress, is a meaningful endeavour and deeply rewarding! I enjoy it more than I could ever adequately describe.

I look forward to helping and getting to know more people here! Let's have many wonderful learning experiences together!

Kind regards,

David

I am happy you decided to learn German.

With me as your tutor, you will get the support and motivation you need to reach your goals and make the progress you are looking for. My classes are not only educational but fun. I firmly believe that language learning should be motivating to ensure students’ success.

Since earning my Master’s in Teaching German as a Foreign Language, I have been teaching my native language at universities and language schools in Germany and abroad for fifteen years.

My teaching approach is communicative, intercultural and learner-centered. Over the years I have developed my own material which I supplement with current course books, online material and authentic sources like German songs, TV programs/films and literature.

No matter if you are a beginner or an advanced learner, no matter what area you’d like to focus on, be it general German, business German or exam preparation, I am going to tailor the lessons to your individual needs in order to ensure the best possible outcome.

As a polyglot myself, I am familiar with the challenges of learning a new language and I can give you helpful tips along the way.

All you need to bring is the necessary motivation and dedication, and we’re ready to go.

Lass uns Deutsch lernen! (Let’s learn German!)

I hope to see you soon in a trial session.

Toni

My name is Sina, and I am a professional DaF (German as a Foreign Language) teacher, certified by the renowned Goethe-Institut. I hold both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Political Science. Passionate about languages and cultures, I enjoy helping students connect with the German language and discover its rich culture!

Hello my name is Maria, I’m from Germany and currently I live in Bolivia.

I myself was raised multilingual and I live in a foreign country. So, I know how hard and sometimes even frustrating it can be to learn a language. That’s why I would like to help you. If you are a beginner its best to start with some structure. So, vocabulary, grammar and the structure of a sentence in general. If you are already advanced, we can concentrate on pronunciation and conversation. Of course, always in connection with listening, reading and writing.

I already helped some students to prepare for their Goethe and Telc Test in the Levels A1 to C1.

Hallo! Looking for a motivated companion to become a confident German speaker? Just book a free trial with me and we will get started right away.

I am a native German instructor as well as a certified coach for communication and emotional management. Since 2018 I have been helping people around the world to learn German in an easy and fun way. I started my work at a French High School. My main task there was to prepare the advanced learners for their oral exams. Later I continued at a French Engineering University teaching the students to apply their German skills to specific topics linked to their studies and future jobs. I also helped them in the preparations of their year abroad in a German speaking country. After this experience I switched to instructing beginners at a French Middle School and started my work online with beginners as well as advanced learners.

My offer includes lots of exercises that will enable you to express yourself spontaneously and quickly break the barrier to speak. In addition to the sessions with me you will get tasks that you can easily complete and repeat throughout your everyday life. Together we will create a stimulating learning environment that makes it easy for you to pick up new vocabulary and grammar structures without having to know all the different rules that a native speaker does not even know ;)

Instead of rushing through chapters and passing a final exam I offer a slower learning pace. By doing so you will enjoy each little step in your language acquisition and stay curious and motivated for what is to come.

If my short introduction piqued your interest, I will be happy to meet you in a trial session.

Liebe Grüße

Johanna
