I am a trained linguist with 8+ years of language tutoring. With a degree in linguistics, specializing in Second Language Acquisition, I use up-to-date research on the most efficient way to learn a language. Native Swedish speaker with a standard Stockholm accent. I have taught Swedish for a couple of years to students of various backgrounds, from teenagers learning Swedish at school to professionals moving to Sweden for work. I can help you practise conversation on both everyday and specialized topics, as well as reading, writing and grammar. If you want to prepare for the national language exam TISUS I have experience doing this as well. I love talking and listening to people, I’m really good at grammar and I have a huge vocabulary.

Most of my lessons are based on conversation, that is, we talk to each other and every now and then we take a little break to focus on some particular item of grammar or vocabulary which appears in the conversation. The conversation can be really simple or very complex, but it’s almost always fun! I take notes during the lesson and during subsequent lessons we use these notes to rehearse and develop particular themes. 

It’s also fun to discuss peculiarities of Swedish culture, I have lived in several countries and will recognize and help you discover some strange aspects of living in Sweden. And if you are moving there and need help with some practicalities I am happy to do this as well. 

As far as formal experience goes, I have university degrees in Classics, Philosophy and Mathematics and have worked as a qualified high school teacher in Sweden.

My name is Eva and I’ve been teaching Swedish for three years on-line and I have gathered a lot of understanding about the different needs from teaching Swedish to a teenager or to a PhD student.

My name is Stina and I am excited to be your new Swedish teacher! Teaching is truly my passion and I love connecting with people from all over the world and would love to help you improve your language and communication skills in Swedish.  I have worked as a language teacher my whole adult life, both online and in high school settings, in Sweden as well as abroad.

I have a Masters degree in Italian linguistics from the University of Stockholm, and speak several languages fluently. I focus mainly on intermediate and advanced students, and at this level we work mainly with oral and written communication proficiency, through discussions and exercises tailored to your specific situation and needs. Some people find grammar boring, but trust me, it doesn't have to be!  Knowledge of grammar will deepen your understanding of the structure of the language and perfect your spoken and written Swedish.

I'm Per, a native Swede teaching online from the Philippines. I have taught Swedish for different age groups since 2001, i.e. 22 years. Most recently I taught Swedish in the Swedish government system for adults, Swedish for Immigrants.

I can teach any level and my teaching approach is adapted to your needs. If you want to focus on a specific aspect, for instance speaking or grammar, I can do that. If you like to follow a strucutred approach with a book, we can do that. Equally, if you want to study for the Swedex-exam I have experience of that too! 

Please note the time zone I am in. I am available all day Philippines time, but that means if you're located in Sweden my availability would be morning or daytime for students in Sweden. Just have a look at my calendar to make sure our timings match!
