I'm a native Korean, born and raised in Seoul, specifically in Gangnam. I completed my entire school journey in Gangnam, from elementary to high school. My life's adventures didn't stop there; I've lived in different countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Germany, and Italy. I now call France 🇫🇷 home.

I dedicated over 12 years to playing the piano during my childhood and pursued a degree in Hotel Management in Australia. Leveraging my hotel management background, I worked as a flight attendant in Germany. For about two years, I followed my dream in Italy, especially in the region of Sicily. I'm captivated by the film "Cinema Paradiso."

Beyond cultural explorations, I have a deep love for the ocean and sports. I've taught Korean for over 5years, having experienced the challenges of learning different languages myself, I understand how you might feel. I'm passionate about teaching Korean and am studying for the Level 2 Korean teacher certificate.

My classes focus on conversation in Korean, aimed at improving your speaking skills. I customize my teaching methods to suit your needs, whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your Korean proficiency. We'll focus on practical language skills, engaging in conversations, ordering food, traveling, and effectively communicating with native speakers. We'll also explore Korean culture, from traditional customs to modern trends, including K-Pop and K-Drama. My goal is to make you a confident communicator in Korean.

IMPORTANT: I am an adult tutor, I do not teach children or teenagers. My experience with teaching students has been entirely in the adult realm, so if you are looking for a tutor for young pupils, I will not be a good fit.

Hello everyone! My name is YONGJIN (용진).  

I was born and grew up in Korea. I speak Korean natively and I have learned English, Japanese and Spanish by heart either through formal educations or extensive travel. Over ten years living, working and traveling oversea. All four languages are tools to help facilitate our learning process.  

I have a passion for teaching languages, and I love helping people learn Korean. I believe I have natural abilities to teach languages that I can communicate very well with people regardless of one's backgrounds.

I've been teaching Korean for years at private language schools and volunteer organizations(NGO) in various countries.

I will be speaking to you in Korean during the lesson, unless you're a beginner. We will discuss it in more details on the first lesson. (speaking ratio between Korean and other languages to explain).  Whether you never learned any foreign languages or not, I will help you build the foundations, boost your motivation and to be more confident in speaking.  

In this online learning platform, the lessons have to be highly interactive. To be able to do that, I want the lessons to be 80-95% conversational.  Interactive communication is the key to improving overall Korean language, and it enables you to learn more practical and colloquial Korean.  That being said, I will also cover grammar and usage of Korean, let alone conversational elements. I will promise you that the lesson will be educational, useful, street-smart and informative. Each lesson, You'll be learning conversations in certain places. Imagine, you're actually in that place, and you need to speak Korean to get what you want. We can also talk about certain topics such as social issues, life in general in Korea etc. I have charts, dialogues, topics to discuss and role play materials ready for the first-time learner and experienced learners. Plus, I have a physical whiteboard right behind me to support explanations in more details.
