I’m a TEFL certified English teacher and I specialize in business English, conversational fluency, and pronunciation. I also have about 35 years’ experience in the business sector, including 25 years in education.

Hello! My name is Tim, I’m from England, and I’m a professional English teacher. I trained at International House in London where I gained the Cambridge CELTA qualification, and I’ve worked with students of all levels and of many different nationalities. I’m also a Spanish student (B2-C1 level) so I know how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language!

I use the ‘communicative approach’ to English teaching, which means that you will have lots of opportunities to practise your speaking skills in a relaxed environment and receive helpful feedback. During a lesson, you have many options; for example, you can follow a structured course (like in a language school), you can develop your speaking skills by having conversation classes (if your level is B1+) or I can help you to prepare for an exam such as IELTS. About me:

I’m Diana, a friendly and patient English teacher from the beautiful city of Cape Town currently living in Portugal. In 2017, I completed my TESOL and TEYLT trainings and since then I have worked with students from all around the world both in language schools and online. I have lived and taught English in 5 different countries (Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa) to students of all levels (beginners to advanced). In 2021, I became certified to teach Ielts and have thus helped numerous students with  their exam preparations too.

My name is Vicki and I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher for speakers of other languages. CELTA is the teaching certificate issued by Cambridge University. I specialize in Business and Academic English but I also can provide general English classes as well. I have been teaching for about two and a half years. I also have an academic background (a Ph.D. in Social and Political Thought and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Art History and Political Studies). My time at university has developed my understanding and use of the English language to an advanced level.  

I am a New Zealander living in Germany, and as a language learner myself (German), I know how important it is to enjoy the learning process and to feel safe to make mistakes. I am a very friendly and encouraging teacher and I strive to adapt my lessons to my students' specific needs, wants, and interests. In my IELTS prep classes, you will study the actions to take to answer each task well.  Since the exam tests the four language skills, we will move between the skills as you work with each task.  You will practice listening and note taking for the reading tasks, read and speak as you pre-write for the writing tasks,  and at first read along with the listening tasks.  Practice with each skill will reinforce the others, combined with study of good sample responses.
