About me:

I’m Diana, a friendly and patient English teacher from the beautiful city of Cape Town currently living in Portugal. In 2017, I completed my TESOL and TEYLT trainings and since then I have worked with students from all around the world both in language schools and online. I have lived and taught English in 5 different countries (Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa) to students of all levels (beginners to advanced). In 2021, I became certified to teach Ielts and have thus helped numerous students with  their exam preparations too.

I'm passionate about learning and teaching languages and have studied Portuguese, Spanish, German and Turkish. Through my own language studies, I have learnt that an active conversational approach is the best way to master a language! Some of my other passions include yoga, travel, food and art!:)

My approach to teaching depends a lot on the level and goals of the student. Each student is unique with different necessities so I don’t have a one size fits all proposition. Hello! My name is Josh, and I'm a TEFL-certified, native English tutor with a background in creative writing and theatre. 

I believe language learning should be exciting, not a cause of stress. It's just another mode of expression, after all. It's like learning to paint or to draw, to walk or to dance; it takes some time to master the first few steps, but once a student gets moving through the language, they'll soon find they're able to express their true personality in no time at all. My role is help you through all of those steps, whether you're an advanced student or just starting out, and I do this by creating an learning environment that is completely individualised to you, your learning style and goals. 

I am teaching a variety of students, engaging in conversation practise; practising listening, reading and writing skills; studying grammar; preparing for exams; and even helping students who are interested in taking their creative writing to the next level! I've worked with people ages 5-55 and my favourite thing about teaching is getting to know people from different cultures and learning all about their customs and traditions. For conversation lessons, we'll focus on using media to expand your vocabulary and spend the entire lesson speaking about different topics. I also have experience preparing students for the IELTS exam for both immigration and academic purposes. I absolutely love the IELTS exam in that it provides students with a real challenge and something to aspire to. Hi, I’m Rob, a native English speaking teacher from Canada currently living in Prague, Czech Republic, with 20 years of ESL and university teaching experience.
